Chapter 10 - Chapter 10

"Violet, you mean?" Ramon asked looking at his face. "Yes, it looked like I'm interrupted something earlier when I walked in."

"Nothing really, I was just thanking her about how she had saved me. She even makes me coffee. I guess you are not the only nice human on the campus." Ramon looked at Mark from the wheelchair.

"I guess not," he replied with a smile.

"Who made the rules for this."Ramon's curiosity was getting the best of him. " What rules?" he asked staring at Ramon.

"King, chief, and citizens. Violet was bothered about it." Ramon asked

"Do you plan on saving her because clearly, you can't save anyone not even yourself? I would advise you to face your life and forget about her." Mark advised.

"Can you at least tell me who made the rules?"

"Well, it has been like that since the University was founded. It is not a place for the citizens mostly but then the chiefs were complaining about being preyed on by the king and the school authorities decided to have the citizens brought into the setting. The citizens are sons and daughters of people who are not well off. I think that is where you belong too." Mark opened the door and helped Ramon inside the car.

"What if you have enough money? Do you have to still be a citizen?" Ramon asked now seeing the settings like more of a game than facts. The thought of buying into the king level crossed his mind.

Mark looked at him before he ignited the car. " What are you planning, Ramon? Don't tell me you are thinking about getting revenge on Chloe and Xavier?" he ignited the car and started to reverse out of the university ground.

"Won't you think about it if you were in my shoes?" Ramon asked looking back at Mark for trying to tell him not to take revenge against Xavier. "I am sorry if I have offended you but you need to lay low.

The university ground is filled with bullies and many of them, are just looking for a weak student to rely on. The weakest are always the target and bullied." Mark said keeping his eyes on the road.

"You told me that already but do you think I am going to let the fact that I am in a wheelchair bothers me? Just wait and see what I am going to do to Xavier for stepping over me." Ramon said with a smirk that made Mark laugh.

"What are you going to do, cripple?" Mark said with a laugh and Ramon looked at him with disbelief. It almost looked like he didn't hear Mark alright. "Did you just call me a cripple?" Ramon asked not sure he heard Mark correctly.

"Yes, I called you a cripple because that is what you are. I have been trying to be nice and even asking you to let go. Don't you think you owe me much by listening to me? I am trying to keep you out of harm's way. I am even getting bullied because of you and here you are, stubborn." Mark shouted cursing at Ramon.

Ramon couldn't believe what was happening before his face. The kind of person he had trusted was not the person he thought he was.

"Stop the car!" Ramon shouted and looked at Mark's face.

"Why are you doing this in the first place? You are not doing this from the bottom of your heart."

"Do you think I was to be with a Citizen? Gosh, do you even perceive the same coming out from you? I wonder what Violet was doing with a guy like you in the first place.

Do you think anybody wants to be friends with you? I guess you don't know what they say behind your back." Mark snarled making Ramon clenched his fist in anger. He looked at Mark. "Please I am not going home anymore. I want to get out." He shouted hitting the dashboard.

"You are buying a new one if you spoil my car, cripple." Mark jeered at him. He brought out his wheelchair and threw Ramon to the cold street floor.

"I don't want you to ever call my name in the campus ground. I am going to make all the lions come at you so that you won't have any choice but to come crawling back to me." Mark slammed the door in his face. Ramon watched as he drove off into the darkness. He carefully looked right and left before he stood up from the wheelchair. And wave down a taxi to get home.

Ramon was grateful to the system for coming to his rescue. He quickly orders some nice and decent clothes and also some sneakers to go along with them. Ramon planned to change his views and stun the whole university.

Very early the next morning, he woke up and did his chores. Ramon waited for the time to be a little late before deciding to go to school. Entering the campus, he attracted a lot of gaze as many people wondered how Ramon had changed so much.

He was putting in some designers as his clothes were saying a lot of money he had bought them. Violet saw him wheeling himself toward his department and immediately went to meet him. She looked into Ramon's face and smiled.

"I would love to be your girlfriend." She bent down and kissed Ramon. "Since we are on the same boat now, I think you should brace yourself because people are going to start attacking you."

"I don't care. All I want is you." Violet replied and Ramon looked at her and wondered about the sudden change of heart.

"I will see you later." He said entering his department. Many of the students gossiped about a queen dating a citizen and wondered what Violet's excuse would be for dating Ramon.

Ramon not listening to the rumour and gossip thought about how he was going to spend the system money that was going to expire in the next cook of hours.

The thought of getting himself a ride crossed his mind and Ramon immediately went to the auto shop to get himself a brand new car. The prom night was just a few hours away. Violet has made it known to Ramon she was going to be his date earlier.

The university grounds buzzed with excitement as many of the students were seen walking into the board hall with their spouses. Violet stood outside in the dark waiting for Ramon. She looked into the bright light as cars parked on the university grounds.

"Oh! you have come to wait for your crippled boyfriend." Chloe made jest of Violet as her friend laughed.

"I wonder what you see in him by the way. Did he pay for this expensive dress too?" Chloe asked feeling jealous. She had seen the cloth and asked Xavier to buy it for her but he couldn't afford it.

Mark sat in a corner watching the gate, making sure he was able to catch a glimpse of anyone coming and going out with Xavier and his friend laughing at a corner patiently waiting for Ramon to come in. But little did they know they are going to experience the shock of their life.

Suddenly, a blue Ferrari car drove into the university grounds. Many of the students stopped talking to see who it was. Their mouths dropped in awe as they saw an enigmatic male figure stealing out of the car.

His hair was stylishly combed and name-styled. Violet opened her eyes in awe looking at his legs.
