"What just happened?" Mina was astounded to hear yet another message from the System appear in her head.
Mistress and Moana have chosen to enagae in a profession. Professions equal Missions in this System's system. You have timed Daily Missions that must be completed in the 24 hours available to you to earn a reward or if you fail, a punishment. There are [Professional Missions] that have no time limit and will afford you the same results as the [Daily Missions]. Last you have [Cultivation Missions] that will grant you awards in skills and techniques in each energy category when you succeed.
Mina and Moana both thought over the new information. Moana was the first to ask the next question. "How many missions do we have active now?"
In order to access your Mission Menu to see what is active and the possible goals of each, you simply ask to Open Mission Menu.
"Well then, Open the Mission Menu please." Mina was eager to see what the possible rewards would be.

Mina and Moana both looked through the list and thought about what to do first. As the sun had only just risen there was a little bit of time before the maids would come in to wake them and get them ready for the day.
"Moana, how about we try the [Daily Mission] or the [Cultivation Mission] first?" Mina felt that this was the most achievable mission before anyone else was added to the mix. "I think that this would be the best options right now as well. System how do we select each Mission from the menu?"
Simply state 'Open x Mission' and the mission description and points available for completing each mission will be listed out for you and Mistress to read through.
"System, please Open Cultivation Mission." Mina was eager to get started and see what would happen.

Host needs to cultivate any form of energy for the first time in the Host body to earn mission points. Points available for this mission +2. There is a 20% Chance for a Daily Pack upon completion of this mission.
"Moana can you just cultivate one of the afinities that you already have and get us through this mission?"
"Of course!" Moana settled their body down on the cushions on the platform once more and assumed the lotus position. She closed their eyes and tried to clear their mind. Unfortunately, Mina's thoughs raced around and around trying to think through everything that had gone on before. As she was thinking through things, Moana was unable to cultivate even though her thoughts were clear.
"I can't cultivate!! I don't know what is happening! I've never had this problem before! What is happening?!"
Answer: Host soul and Mistress have to cultivate together in order for cultivation to succeed.
"Wait, I have to cultivate as well?? Well, okay. I guess. Let me think through how to do this."
"Mina, you have all of my memories which means that you also have my memories of cultivating. You should be able to do this."
Looking through the accumulated memeories that she had, Mina found the ones pertaining to cultivation and studied them carefully. "Okay, I understand how it is supposed to work. Which affinity are we going to cultivate then?"
"I was trying to cultivate Earth Mana just a moment ago. There is plenty of it swirling around thanks to the caves located in the hills and the vast forest to the west of us. The lake to the east flows into the ocean and will provide ample Water mana. Just a few miles to the north of us is the Great Wailing Mountain which will provide ample Air Mana, and the very ground this house resides upon was blessed by the Gods and provides all the Spirit Mana we will need. In short we could choose any mana to begin with but this close to a breakthrough I was hoping to continue with the Earth mana."
"Sounds good to me Moana. Let's focus on the Earth Mana and reach a breakthrough." So saying, Mina closed their eyes and cleared her thoughts. Moana likewise cleared her thoughts and together they focused on the forest and caves to the west. In their mind's eye they could feel and 'see' mana which appeared green in color and was grounding and solid feeling. Using their mind to focus solely upon the Earth mana they drew it into their body.
Slowly, the Earth mana seeped into their body. The mana filled them with a gentle warmth and the sense of green growing things. Mina and Moana focused on the mana and directed it to flow through their meridians in order to permiate every corner of their being and from there be absorbed. The two continued to pull the mana into their body and direct it throughout until they could not hold any more.
After nearly two hours had passed, the mana was completely assimilated into their body.

Mina took stock of all the notifications she just received. "System how many Mission points do we have now?"
Mistress has gained 11 Mission Points. Added to the number already stocked, Mistress has a total of 13 Mission Points to spend. Do you want to use them?
"System, can the Mission points be added to the mana levels to advance them?"
Mission points can be used on any of the levels or skills that you have already acquired.
"Moana, should we use them now? I'd like to see if we can level up the other mana affinities and see what we get!" Mina was excited to see if they could get any additional points or prizes for leveling up.
"I don't see the harm in that. It gives our body more strength and power if we have an even mana cultivation level with all the affinities we can use. The only reason my Earth mana wasn't cultivated to the same level as the others was because I didn't have access to this place with the quality Earth mana levels until last week."
Just then Amanda, one of Moana's trusted maids from her earliest childhood stepped into the room carrying a tray. "Young Lady, time to get ready for the day! I have brought you some breakfast with the new fruit tea that is so popular these days."
