A Road can be many things, Gog decided, as he looked at the stretch of forest before him. He could see the domes of the glass castle, where he could feel his brother's mana.
Fate's glass castle.
Gog did not know what to think about Lin becoming Fate. Was it just a sign that his brother was a leaf in the wind? Or did it mean that their future, the future of everyone who had survived the siege, was to be a grim one?
Gog looked at Kai and Battlepaws, who were scouting ahead. If there was a trap waiting for them, then the two would dismantle it.
Gog could still not believe that such a place, a place where light and greenery were dominant, could be the Grim Reaper's own personal realm.
"I think we are lost," Kai finally broke the silence. He had his whip with him, strapped to his hip like usual. This time he had taken his sword and one of Lin's old toothpick daggers.
