Damian started walking through along the compartments and checked for empty cabins. Fortunately he found one and entered it. Placing the suitcase beside him he felt a little excitement and nervousness. This is new life and he is excited. He is nervous about the cheat though.
When he thinks about it he felt a warm glow ok his chest and right palm. Opening his right palm a glowing golden tattoo of Yggdrasil is there. Damian took deep breaths, it's time to find out. Just then there is a knock on the door.
Damian opened it and two girls appeared. Damian's mouth curled into a smile. The girl who always competes with him is here. Cassandra vole, belongs to the rich & pureblood families of USA. Although she received Illvermony letter, she rejected it and joined Hogwarts with him.
As for Damian, his grandpa Newt convinced his grandmother and parents for this. So Damian is going to join Hogwarts. Looking at Damian's teasing smile the girl snorted and arrogantly sit opposite to him. Beside her is the equally arrogant Hermione Granger.
Damian met her in diagon alley when buying the list of items for Hogwarts. McGonagall and his parents greeted each other and by chance Hermione is also there. At that time, Damian and her has a little talk.
Damian smiled looking at them and greeted," hey if it isn't Cassandra and Hermione. You two became friends immediately it seems ", Cassandra and Hermione snorted and said at the same time," you know this rude girl ".
Then the two glared at each other. Just then Damian smiled and said," oh, you even got sync in your words. It seems you'll be good friends in the future ", now the two girls glared at Damian and said," shut up. I'll never he friends with her ".
Damian smirked looking at them with teasing gaze. Hermione and cassata snorted and then looked away from each other. Damian looked at them and asked," so what did you do in the last month?".
Cassandra proudly raised her head and said," I practiced spells and potions. Also studied a little bit of Alchemy. What about you?", Damian nodded while Hermione said," I read all the books of first year and few books for reference as well as practicing few spells".
Damian nodded and said," as usual I helped my grandpa and father take care of the magical animals. I also learned some simple spells from my grandma and mother to use in duels. My grand aunt queenee and her husband Jacob visited us and we have lot of fun in the picnic ".
Cassandra sighed and said," as expected of Scammander family, always cheerful and warm ", Hermione on the side nodded. Then Cassandra asked," which house do you want to be sorted into? Since you're a Scammander it's either Hufflepuff or Griffyndoor ".
Damian shrugged and said," I don't know.. I'll be okay with any house ", Cassandra eyes shined and she asked," ho, so if you sorted into Slytherin is that okay? A Scammander in Slytherin is a disaster to begin with. Hehe, I want to see headmaster Dumbledore's face when you sorted into Slytherin, pity this is almost impossible ".
Hermione asked curiously," why isn't that possible?", Cassandra looked at her and said," because he is a Scammander of course. He is from a family that supports light faction and on the side of Dumbledore since the war with Grindelwald ".
Hermione raised an eyebrow and asked," wait so when Damian said his name is Scammander, he is really related to Newt Scammander. I thought he is only a distant relative to him ".
Damian looked at her with a sigh while Cassandra laughed and said," related? Girl he is the grandson of Newt Scammander ", Hermione stiffened and looked at Damian who just smiled at her then said," yes my grand father is Newt Scammander ".
Cassandra didn't bother. She looked at the suitcase and asked," Damian, that suitcase. It's enchanted right. To have more space, like your grandfather's suitcase ". Damian nodded and said," although it has very less space comparef to my grandfather's it's enough. He also didn't allow to keep pets. I couldn't even bring a bowtruckle willy or my niffler witty to the school ".
Cassandra looked at him speechlessly and said," in the whole Hogwarts only you want raise creatures like that. I'm glad your grandfather didn't allow you to bring them to Hogwarts. Or else I'll suspect you will even try to raise a kelpy or a nundu or zouwu or even an occamy isn't an exception in your suitcase".
Damian looked away evading Cassandra's gaze while Cassandra looked at him speechlessly and said," I knew it. You will really try to bring them to Hogwarts. That's why your grandfather forbade you from taking your pets to Hogwarts ".
Hermione also looked at him speechlessly. Those are dangerous according ministry's rules but here she met a bit that will try to creatures like that. She sighed, forget it, forget it. This boy is Newt Scammander's grandson and an exception.
