Chapter 16 - Titan Studios Meeting (I)

As Aiden was conducting auditions in the Gravity Media office, in L. A one of the top 6 studios of Hollywood Titan Studios was buzzing with work. It was the half yearly annual general meeting of Titan Studios. Titan Studios chairman Barry Williams, shareholders like Alberto and Ava and other important department heads were also present there.

Today they were going to discuss there investments and returns in past year, upcoming projects, how much bidget to invest this year, new TV series and the marketing plans of their releases this year.

All the shareholders were submitting the reports of their past year investments. Among all of them Alberto Dundley had a great smile on his face due to the success of Hex 1.

The meeting started with few assistants and new interns displaying the presentations of their past year investments on a projector.

In the past year Titan studios had distributed 90 movies all over the world out of which just 10 were produced by them and the rest by other studios. Among the movies not produced by then but distributed by them and had most success in recent year was The Black Saints and The Action Star both of which had Aiden Silvereye in lead.

Among the 10 films they produced in past year, 9 were midbudgets made in budget of 50 to 60 million dollars and only 1 film was a high budget film Hex Part 1 made on a budget of 120 million dollars including marketing. Out of The midbudgets only 2 succeded barely, 2 were hit and the remaining 5 were in loss. So the box office made 600 million from the 9 midbuget films and they had 65 % of the share around 370 million dollars remaining taken by theatres. They earned 420 million dollars from the ott deals with zetflix and song streaming sales. So they invested around 500 million dollars in the 9 films and made around 270 million dollars profit from the 9 films.

But Hex Part 1 which had Aiden as lead actor had a box office earnings of 960 million dollars on investment of 120 million dollars. Titan Studios being both producer and distributor made around 65% from box office earnings which was roughly 630 million dollars. The rest 330 million dollars was earned by theatre owners. The song copyrights had been sold for 10 million dollars to neu entertainment. Zetflix had purchased the ott rights of the film for almost 800 million dollars for 100 countries across the globe and they had sold the film for 50 million dollars to small ott platforms of the remaining countries. The T.V streaming deals of the film in USA and all over the world brought them around 600 million dollars. So they made a profit of 1.8 billion dollars almost from Hex 1.

They also had a profit of 130 million dollars from distributing other 80 films not produced by them.

This was quite exciting as they made 2. 2 billion dollars net profits after tax from their 10 films and distribution of other films not produced by them, which was very much higher in value than their profit of 160 million dollars made in the past year.
