Aaron POV
I slowly descended down the stairs, using the railing to guide me. I haven't been down here in forever, so the place was unfamiliar to me.
I could hear the small talking from my family as they were already seated at the table, but what really caught my attention was the scent of my mate.
Maybe this was going to be a little more difficult than I thought. I forced my mind to focus.
'Starting without me?' I asked out loud as I came to the last step and headed towards the table.
Well, to say everyone was shocked would be an understatement. My brother's jaw was probably hung wide open and it's a shame I couldn't really see it. I could feel my father's anger radiating off from him.
I took a seat opposite him and I felt his heart spike up. If he could kill me right there, he probably would have.
'Welcome back, son.' My mother said after an eternity of silence.
'Thank you, Mother.' I said casually. The table went back to silence as everyone began focused on their food. I decided to pay my attention to something else.
Everyone else was still wondering who I was, given that no one had ever seen me. I laughed internally as I heard all those horny thoughts around the servants.
My head searched for one in particular and I found her. I was stupidly happy when I found out she was pleased about me, but that was short-lived when I began to see something else.
She was imagining me kissing her, doing things to her. I gulped hard when I myself began to imagine that. I felt my dick twitch in my pants when I heard a small moan loud enough for me to hear from her.
Shit.
"Wow, and I thought I was the one who didn't have control." Ralph said sarcastically.
I rolled my eyes in annoyance but what he said was true. I couldn't believe she could turn me on by just thinking about her. I grinned stupidly when I heard her refer to me as hers in her head.
Looks like I got myself a jealous and possessive mate, I licked my lips at my thoughts.
My lips curved into a smile when I heard how she wanted to lick my lips and my gaze traveled to hers but she was quick to shy away.
"Aaron?" Ralph called me in my head and I hummed. "Do you feel something strange with our mate?"
"Like we have met before." I told him. I had that feeling when I touched her in the woods, but I dismissed it because it was impossible for us to have met before.
I had never met any woman officially before. Of cause I wouldn't go unnoticed sometimes when I visited the city for some privacy, but I was never really interested. Many women had tried to climb my bed but it always ended with a little chit-chat.
So imagine my surprise when I had my first hard on in twenty-seven years.
I looked at my mate who was walking towards the table with a tray of papaya in her hands. Her heart was ready to burst and she was trying so hard not to look at me.
I was glad I wasn't the only one being affected.
'Can you hand me some of that, please?' I wasn't really a fan of papaya but I just wanted her close to me.
'Yes, sir', her voice was melodious. I wanted her to talk forever just so I can hear hear voice. Suddenly naughty images started roaming in my head. Images of how she would sound when I kiss every inch of that beautiful body, how my name would roll out her mouth as I drive myself into her sweet...
I really needed to stop thinking about this but she wasn't making this any easier.
She set the plate on the table and I slightly touched her hand, although I made it look like I wanted to touch the plate. I felt instant electricity run through my veins, boiling my blood. I heard her gasp lowly and then she did the most amazing thing; she smelled me. I clenched my jaw and shut my eyes as I also took a deep inhale of her scent. I closed my eyes as I was enchanted. It's a good thing I was wearing shades.
'Hand me that also,' Alex said to her and I didn't miss the annoyance in her eyes.
Was she annoyed that she now had to move away from me? Ralph did a little dance in my head and I smiled.
She placed his plate in front of him like she did mine and I saw Alex try to touch her but she withdrew her hand before he could reach it.
That's my girl, I praised her inwardly.
She took one small look at me and went out of the room. My hands went into fists when I saw the way Alex's eyes trailed her from behind.
Did he like my mate? Was that why he allowed her to stay because he wanted to fuck her?
"I will kill him!" I felt Ralph ready to come out and rip Alex into shreds but I controlled him.
"We won't let that happen.' I promised him.
My father abruptly stood from his seat, causing everyone to stare st him.
'I don't want to see your face when I come back.' He said with no emotion. He turned to leave but I called to him.
'I thought you wanted a deal with Alpha Logistics.' I lazily put a piece of papaya in my mouth.
Judging from the silence on the table, everyone was shocked.
'How do you know about that?' My father asked.
'Well, it would be irresponsible for a CEO not to know what happens in his company, wouldn't it?
'What are you talking about?' Alex was the one who asked.
I rolled my eyes and let out a lazy sigh.
'I don't know if you are slow or just stupid. Mother, enlighten your son.' I saw my father come back to his seat.
'So what, am I supposed to be impressed that you are a big shot now?' I wouldn't say I wasn't a little disappointed. I had expected him to say that but still hearing him out loud, well, that was a little hurtful.
'You are the one who needs me, Mr Light, and not the other way around. Watch your words. If you feel you can't work with a blind bastard because of your stupid pride, then I guess this is the end of it.' I stood from my chair to leave but my father stopped me.
'Wait. Sit down... please,' Although he strained the last word out, I was surprised.
The great Almighty king was saying please to me. He continued,
'How did you do it?' I laughed at his question.
'It's all thanks to you, Mr Light. All those years of emotional abuse, negligence, made me not to depend on anyone. So thank you so much, I guess you can say I owe you one, right? I'm able to stand on my own two feet despite being blind, unlike some others.' I threw that at him and I heard him take a sharp breathe. Was that a little regret I felt?
No.
A man like that isn't capable of feeling any human emotion.
'I will go through your proposal and come back to you after three days. Enjoy the rest of the day, Mother, Mr Light and...you.' I threw the "you" at Alex. 'Thanks for lunch.'
I made my way to the stairs and went back to my room.
I rested my back on the closed door and let everything sink in. I couldn't believe this was actually happening.
Well, there is no turning back now. Let it begin.
