Chapter 1 - Chapter 1 : The target is the immortal killer Jason

New York.

A car pulled up outside the Crystal Lake Resort Villa.

"Hi, Dr. Cruise!"

"You made it!"

A blonde woman stepped out, waving and smiling at Dr. Cruise, a middle-aged man waiting nearby.

"Hope we didn't keep you waiting too long?" she asked, still smiling.

"No, no. The scenery here is beautiful. I quite like it," Dr. Cruise replied, taking her gift and glancing at another blonde girl who had just stepped out of the car.

"Tina, this is going to be a wonderful trip," he said warmly.

"I hope so," Tina replied with a slight sigh, her gaze drifting to the familiar sight of Crystal Lake in front of the villa. Memories of something unsettling seemed to surface, and she quickly turned away, trying to calm her nerves.

Then she noticed a tall man in black combat gear standing by the lake, staring into the water. His stillness struck her as odd.

"Hi there!" came a friendly voice. A young man on vacation near the villa approached them.

"Hello!" Tina smiled, greeting him politely.

"My name's Nick," he introduced himself.

"Tina," she responded casually.

Noticing Tina struggling with her luggage, Nick offered, "Do you need a hand?"

Tina shook her head. "No, but thanks."

Nick scratched his head awkwardly, then followed her gaze toward the man by the lake. "Oh, him? They say he's here on vacation too, staying next door. But he's kind of…strange, so best to avoid him."

"Really?" Tina shrugged, indifferent, and didn't press further.

Meanwhile, the man by the lake had noticed their interaction.

"After all this waiting…it's finally going to begin!" he thought, feeling his adrenaline surge. But he took a deep breath, forcing himself to stay calm. It wasn't time to confront Jason yet. The right moment would come.

This man's name was Roca, a time traveler.

Eighteen years after he arrived in this world, he regained memories of his past life—and with them, a mission system. In this horror-filled world, completing system-assigned tasks would grant him powerful rewards.

That's why Roca had arrived at Crystal Lake two days ago. His goal was to track down the "Undead Killer Jason" rumored to haunt the lake.

After mingling with the vacationing students over the past few days, he had confirmed they were in the storyline of Friday the 13th Part 7, with the heroine Tina and other familiar faces present.

"Good, it's just Part 7," Roca thought, relieved. "The later parts would be a nightmare."

Each time Jason was resurrected, his strength increased, making him nearly invincible by Part 9, where he could even possess others. But in Part 7, he was weaker. Roca's assembled team and weapons might just be enough.

Roca had prepared well, acquiring an AK-47 assault rifle, a Saiga-12K shotgun, a Desert Eagle, grenades, and other equipment. Ideally, he'd have liked a Gatling gun or an RPG, but resources were limited. Based on Jason's capabilities in Part 7, firearms should be effective. If he played it safe, he might just have a chance to kill Jason.

And as a backup, he had Tina—a girl with psychic powers.

Tina's abilities were formidable: she could move objects with her mind and foresee the future, somewhat like a scaled-down version of a level-five mutant with mental powers. Though her control was shaky, with enough training, she could become a powerful ally.

Nightfall

Roca sat in his villa, carefully inspecting his Saiga-12K shotgun. Equipped with 12-gauge shells and a 10-round magazine, it was powerful enough to take down even an elephant with a single shot.

Just as he was strategizing his approach to dealing with Jason, he heard footsteps approaching from downstairs.

Looking out the window, he saw Tina walking across the wooden bridge by the lake.

He grabbed his shotgun and made his way down.

"It's dangerous to be out alone this late," he called, startling Tina, who turned to see the man she'd noticed earlier.

"Oh, it's you," she said, visibly relieved. "I'm Tina."

"Just call me Roca," he replied, slowly walking closer. His strong, steady presence seemed to ease her fear.

Tina looked at him tearfully. "I was just feeling…a little down. Would you mind listening?"

"Of course." Roca nodded, watching the lake as he prepared to listen.

"When I was young…" Tina began, recounting the trauma of accidentally killing her father in a fit of anger. It was an event she had never been able to face, a burden she carried alone.

As her emotions intensified, her psychic abilities began to activate. Bubbles rose ominously in the middle of the lake.

Roca's eyes widened. He knew that her powers were inadvertently reviving Jason. He instinctively clutched his Saiga-12K shotgun, knowing full well the danger he was about to face.

Just as Tina's powers surged, the surface of the lake erupted. A figure in a hockey mask emerged from the water—Jason, the undead killer himself.

Despite his preparations, Roca felt a chill of fear. Jason's menacing gaze locked onto them. Though weakened from just being revived, Jason seemed to size them up before swimming toward the other side of the lake.

Roca exhaled, knowing the final confrontation was coming—and he had to be ready.
