His children, Akari, and the other wives of Umbra looked to him, sensing the gravity of the moment. Today, Umbra was not just their teacher; he would now tell them the terrifying truths of the gods that rule over their world.
"Today," Umbra started, the weight carried on his voice making every word sound chiseled into stone, "I will explain the gods to you. But not just any gods. These are not the deities you have learned about. These are the apex, the top of the hierarchy. But we don't have time today to explain all of the hierarchy to you. What I need you to understand is that these gods possess powers beyond your wildest comprehension."
