The battle rages on, but as the Orc forces are decimated by the Eagles, the toll on Thorin and his company becomes clear. Bilbo regains consciousness amidst the carnage, his head aching. He tries to rise but finds himself looking at the bloody battlefield where the Dwarves, Elves, and Men mourn their fallen comrades. Thorin, after battling Azog, is lying in a pool of his own blood.Bilbo (groggily, sitting up, trying to make sense of the situation):
"Thorin...?"
Thorin (weakly, clutching his chest, his face strained):"Bilbo... you are still here."
Bilbo (leaning close, his eyes filled with sadness):"I'm here, Thorin. But... you're hurt."
Thorin, his breathing shallow, smiles with the last of his strength.Thorin (with a weak smile):"I... I have fought... for my kingdom... and my kin... I... I will see my father... in the halls of my ancestors."
As Thorin speaks, Taranis moves through the carnage of the battlefield, pushing forward through the wreckage of the fight. He sees Thorin's face, filled with resolve and pain, knowing that Azog has been defeated, but at such a heavy cost. He is followed by Dáin Ironfoot, who arrives with his army and surveys the battlefield with grim satisfaction.Taranis (kneeling beside Thorin, softly, his voice full of respect):"Thorin... you fought with honor. The Mountain... is yours."
Thorin (his eyes growing heavier, glancing at Bilbo):"It was never... about gold. It was about... the pride of my people... and the friendship we've built."
Bilbo (with a sad smile, his hand on Thorin's, watching as his friend drifts away):"Goodbye, Thorin. You... you were a true king."
Thorin (in a faint whisper, just before he passes):"The Arkenstone... it was never mine... it belongs to the Kingdom... and to the land."
With Thorin's death, the battle ends. Bilbo is devastated by the loss of his dear friend, but he must move forward. Taranis, watching the end of an era unfold, steps away from Thorin's side, his expression somber but resolute.Taranis (speaking softly to himself, watching Thorin's body being carried away):"A king fallen, but not forgotten. His people will remember his sacrifice."
As Bilbo mourns, Legolas and Tauriel stand together near Kíli's body, the sorrow on their faces palpable. Legolas, having witnessed the depth of Tauriel's grief for Kíli, takes a deep breath, stepping forward as he speaks to his father, Thranduil.Legolas (after a long pause, with a slight edge to his voice):"I cannot stay in this place anymore, Father. The war is over... and there is no place for me here."
Thranduil (looking at his son, a mixture of pride and sorrow in his eyes):"I see, Legolas. You are free to go, my son. But do not think you can escape who you are."
Legolas (his voice softer now):"I'm not running away, Father. I'm seeking my path... and I know where it lies."
Thranduil, looking over at Tauriel, who is wiping her tears away, finally speaks with a more measured tone.Thranduil (softly, realizing the depth of Tauriel's love for Kíli):"Tauriel... it seems I have underestimated you. I see now... the love you shared with Kíli was not just a fleeting thing."
Tauriel (whispering, her voice breaking):"It was real, my King. It was real."
Thranduil (sighing, finally nodding with acceptance):"Then... we will bury him... properly. As he deserves."
Bilbo (turning to Taranis, wiping a tear from his eye):"We've lost so much... but I am thankful for the friends I made along the way, and for those of us who remain."
Taranis (placing a hand on Bilbo's shoulder, offering him a rare smile):"It was a long journey, Bilbo. And though the price was high... it was not in vain."
Bilbo (nodding slowly, looking back at Thorin's body):"No, it was not in vain."
The Dwarves, Elves, and Men slowly regroup as the great Eagle mounts carry the dead from the battlefield, allowing those who remain to mourn. But soon after the final battle ends, Dáin Ironfoot steps forward to take his place as King under the Mountain, and Thorin's legacy is secured. The Aftermath – A Hero's FarewellLegolas departs from Mirkwood to follow his own journey, leaving behind the kingdom his father rules. As Bilbo prepares to return to the Shire, Gandalf approaches, his face thoughtful and filled with concern.Gandalf (with a knowing look, his voice grave):"Bilbo, there is something I must ask you about the ring you found in the Goblin tunnels."
Bilbo (pausing, feeling the weight of the question):"What about it, Gandalf?"
Gandalf (looking at him with deep concern):"I must know more about it, Bilbo. How did you come upon it?"
Bilbo (hesitating, feeling the burden of the ring):"It just... found me. When I needed it most, it was there. But... something about it doesn't feel right."
Gandalf (his voice growing more serious):"I will watch over you, Bilbo. But we will need to speak more of this in the future."
As Bilbo leaves Erebor and heads toward the Shire, the Eagles fly overhead, taking the bodies of the fallen. Among them is Thorin Oakenshield, the great king who died with honor.Taranis the Thunderer – A New LegendWord of Taranis's heroic deeds spreads quickly across Middle-earth. His name becomes known far and wide: Taranis the Thunderer. Songs are sung of his bravery in the Battle of Five Armies, and both Dwarves, Elves, and Men speak of his fierce lightning strikes and his unwavering courage. But as with all great heroes, trouble soon follows. In the shadow of Sauron, the Dark Lord grows more restless. His eyes are drawn to this new hero, and he sends his Nazgûl to hunt Taranis down. They seek the Thunderer, hoping to strike before he can become a threat.Sauron (his voice filled with malice):"This mortal... he grows too powerful. The Nazgûl will bring him down. No one can challenge me."
Taranis, unaware of the looming threat, moves through Middle-earth, finding respite after the battle. But the Nazgûl are relentless. As Taranis journeys through the wilderness, he is ambushed by a group of them. Struggling without his mana, he fights bravely but is overwhelmed.Taranis (panting, his body weary, struggling to draw his sword):"I can't... I can't fight them without my strength."
Just as a Nazgûl raises its blade to strike, Gandalf appears in a flash of light, wielding his staff with fierce power. He blocks the strike and drives the Nazgûl back.Gandalf (looking at Taranis with concern):"Taranis, you are too reckless. You cannot fight without your power. You must rest."
Taranis (gritting his teeth, his eyes filled with frustration):"I must keep fighting, Gandalf. They won't stop hunting me."
Gandalf (sighing, placing a hand on Taranis's shoulder):"Not now, my friend. You've earned your rest. The Shire awaits you. Go, and recuperate. The danger will pass for now."
Taranis (nodding, though reluctant to rest):"I will. But I will not forget what they did."
Thus, Taranis retreats to the Shire, seeking solace and recuperation in the peaceful rolling hills. But in the darkness, Sauron's eyes never leave him.
