I've barely stepped out of the Magister's office, and Elder Libel's words still echo in my mind like a haunting refrain: "You'll understand when you see him."
Those words had piqued my curiosity, but now that I've met him, they make perfect sense. The Magister is... how can I put this? Definitely not what I expected. Strange doesn't even begin to cover it.
But I don't have the luxury of dwelling on him right now. Another thought is hammering at the walls of my mind, making my heart pound wildly.
"Tomorrow, we'll attack a Dragon King."
That sentence—spoken with almost casual indifference by the Magister—carries a weight I can't ignore.
A Dragon King. Seriously.
These legendary creatures, described in countless stories as forces of nature—unstoppable and terrifying. I thought they had been wiped out centuries ago, swept away by the tides of time and war. But no—they're still alive. And not only that, I'm supposed to face one.
