As I regained my consciousness, I was in the hands of a woman. She bathed me and wrapped me in a soft fabric.
What was going on?
I did not know.
I was confused, more so after I was handed to a strong looking man with only one eye.
He looked at me without showing any emotions. My heart was racing, but soon a realisation dawned upon me.
I had been reborn!
As this idea emerged in my head, all things suddenly started to make sense.
I was just born and this man before me was most likely my father.
'Why does he look like a Viking though?' I thought, but soon a smile appeared on my face.
I had been blessed with another opportunity at life.
Thinking back about the dark void sent chills down my spine, I did not want to go back there again. Never ever!
'But where am I? This doesn't look like Earth.' I thought as my gaze locked into the only eye of the man before me.
His clothes and fashion sense betrayed the usual norms of Earth.
As I was looking at the man, I saw a smile bloom on his face, then out of nowhere he lifted me up.
"From today, you shall be known as, Ivar." He declared.
I was given a name.
'So, he is my father, huh! Ivar, very viking like name indeed.' I remarked in my head at the peculiar name I was given.
After the naming was over with, the man placed me in a cradle just a few metres away from a huge bed, which most probably was occupied by my birth mother.
'I wonder what their names are.'
I however did not have the luxury of wondering about such things, as suddenly a wave of sleepiness drowned me.
'Seems like this new baby body is gonna have a lot of limitations.'
With this thought lingering at the back of my mind, I fell asleep.
.
Frigga was tired and sleeping on the bed.
The handmaids remained in the room to watch over the newly born baby.
Odin on the other hand had left just after confirming the safety of his wife and son, and also bestowing a name on the later.
Just a couple of minutes later, the door to the room was barged open and two young lads barged in.
One of them had blonde hair and blue eyes, while the other had black hair and eyes of the same colour.
With a mix of worry and excitement on their faces, they walked upto the cradle housing the baby.
The blond haired young man asked the hand maid, "Is mother alright?"
"She is just sleeping, her condition is stable." The handmaid keeping watch respectfully answered.
Hearing this, a genuine relief washed over the faces of the two lads.
Then they moved their attention to the little devil sleeping peacefully in the cradle.
The blonde lad instantly revealed an expression of joy, "My little brother, he looks adorable!"
The black haired young man also looked happy but tried to hide the expression.
"He has black hair, just like me." He said.
"Seems so... But he will definitely grow up to be competent, unlike a certain someone." The blonde haired lad said smugly, clearly trying to provoke the black haired young man.
"Says Thor the brute, clearly your muscle for a brain has rendered you unable to distinguish between competence and incompetence." The black haired young man spewed out words like venom.
"What did you say!" Thor was instantly angered, and a scream escaped his mouth.
