What am I doing? Araya thought to herself, suddenly muttering out about her past like that, even though she was keen on not telling Yoha anything about her past, even if it was about her father, because it was not the time yet, and it wasn't a pleasant past either.
Why did I think of you at a time like this? Every day her body was breaking down, further and further, without the medicine, she would be bedridden, her lungs were already deteriorating so much that she had a hard time breathing, and her stomach couldn't handle food that had too much spice.
Her heart rate is going slower by the day.
Every day was a constant pain, but she pushed it away so that Yoha would be able to have at least a pleasant childhood so that this girl who was more brilliant than her could feel love when she didn't so that she wouldn't be lonely like her.
Maybe it is because Araya projects herself onto Yoha, someone who has been brilliant since childhood. She doesn't want the same thing that happened to her to happen to Yoha, which is why they need to move, why Yoha needs a backup, and why Yoha needs a connection. That way…she will be happy.
She needs to make it. With their help, Yoha would be able to make a connection. With her being in the academy, she would be safe from outside threats until she grows enough to make her own decision. In there…she might be able to make friends or meet someone or something that could hold her.
Yoha's blooming was already shining enough to see with just her own eyes. Araya knew that the object of Yoha's obsession was herself, her Mobile Suit, and coding. It was easy to recognize once she started growing a bit.
Although it worries Araya that one of those obsessions is with herself, she decides to trust her daughter, since she's strong, she would be able to overcome it, and she would be able to overcome this curse.
"Hey, Yoha?" Araya speaks up.
"Mmh? What is it, Mama?" Yoha turns her bright red eyes, which she inherited from her father. Her eyes glint with innocence as she looks at Araya curiously.
"Although your birthday has already passed. Do you want to go to the aquarium? There is one in my hometown that has a whale, you know? It was big enough for a whale to be there." Araya asks, waiting for her daughter's response.
"Really?! Then it would be big enough to form a small city, wouldn't it? For a whale to roam free without worrying about stress then it should be that big, but what kind of whale? Sperm whale? Shark whale? Blue whales? Ehhh would there be giant squid? No, no, those would be too deep to bring up to the surface, if we go to Western Collective then we might have a chance to see it, ahh. Will it be deep enough for deep sea bioluminescent creatures?" Yoha started her ramble when it came to objects of interest, she would speak without minding others.
She was interested in the sea…but not enough to be called a part of her obsessions. Just…interest…this makes Araya a bit sad.
"Well, I remember them being deep enough for those glowing jellyfish the last time I visited. Maybe they will expand it. Last I visited was over Twenty years ago after all."
Yoha's eyes grew when Araya said the word 'twenty'.
"M-mama…you look young, so maybe you went as a child?" she asks with a worried tone. Ah, Yoha does not know Araya's age…well, since she only knows Araya as this young Mother from her face.
"I'm actually forty-four this year," Araya answered softly. She looked at Yoha, and seeing her shocked face was quite something.
"T-that…not possible! You still look like you are in your mid-twenties!" Yoha blurts out, making Araya chuckle.
"Is that so? This old lady has been taking care of her skin, you see." It was a lie, She never took care of her skin or hair as other ladies would do, since she never cared for those things.
"That's a lie! You never take care of your skin!" And Yoha seems to think the same. "...well…guess there are people like that too…I wonder if I would still look youthful at your age."
"Well, seeing how much you inherit from me, I think you will grow up to be a very beautiful girl. Oh? It seems our ride is here. Let's go, Yoha." Seeing that their private elevator was already here, Araya took Yoha's hand, and together, they moved toward their Elevator.

The elevator was…empty. Mama took me to the first seat. There was no window to watch the view, but there was a monitor. Once I settled down, I strapped the belt on as Mama settled down next to me.
"Well, It will take at least three hours for us to get our own, so Mama will be sleeping, ok? If you want something just order it through the screen here. The robot will take anything that is available to you."
"Mmh, OK, I understand. Have a good rest, Mama." Kissing her on the cheek, Mama smiled at me before taking out the blanket, sleeping mask, and headphones. Soon, I could hear a soft snoring next to me.
Now that Mama is sleeping, I don't know what to do. With just my laptop, I can't get any actual work done with the spec, but well, let's see what they have on these private elevators.
Touching the screen, I scan through everything: drink, food, comfort, music, and such, but then I find my eye on one of the menus on the screen. Elevators surround me.
Curious about this, I touch them without a second thought, and the screen changes, revealing the darkness of space, Ahh…so this is the view outside of the elevators, I guess they have this for people who get bored.
Though I will admit it was beautiful, it's not really worth much, considering I will probably be seeing a lot of this sight from now on. Now that I would be going to Elysium, which isn't really far away from Earth, well….not far away from the moon, just…. About fifty thousand kilos. Not that far, but well, would take about a week on a normal cruise.
Mmh…I wonder…how much would I be able to learn from there? Maybe I can go to the moon base? Ahh, I need to get Military permission since that base is used to conduct new experiments and development of the mobile suit.
"I'm bored…"
