Chapter 33 - Friendship Camp

The day of the camp arrived, the organizers were already at the campsite early to prepare some things before the juniors arrived with the teachers.

"Alright everyone, we start building our tents and organizing the items needed for our activities today! We have to be enthusiastic so that our juniors will be too!" exclaimed the student council president during the briefing.

The other organizers agreed and started doing their tasks. Some built tents, put up ornaments and others checked supplies, such as food, medicine and others.

They worked together to make this camp memorable for the juniors. They want to make the last memorable memories before they graduate.

Three hours passed, and it was nine in the morning. The bus carrying the 10th grade juniors had arrived at the campsite. At the same time, they had finished with their preparations to welcome the juniors.

One by one the students got off the bus, they were immediately directed to line up neatly in the middle of the field.

"Come this way, don't be messy. Line up according to your group," said Claire who helped direct the other students.

'That's quite a lot, huh? It's a good thing it's only one day and one night. If it was more, it would have been a hassle,' he thought.

After the students lined up neatly according to their groups, the student council president gave a speech to their juniors. The role of the teachers there was only to monitor the situation, there were only 4 teachers on guard. The rest was all left to the 12th grade committee.

"Alright, first we start building the tents and tidying up the things you brought. For the group leaders, please come forward and approach Senior Fein who is standing over there to take your tents!"

"Yes!" they replied in unison.

One by one, the group leaders lined up to pick up their tents on the table. Fein handed them the bags containing the tents.

"Hello Senior Fein, nice to meet you," greeted one of the students who looked interested in Fein.

"Oh yes, take your tent," Fein said not paying much attention to her and gave her a bag.

"I'm Jane from 10C, please help me during this camp period until tomorrow," she said again as she extended her hand.

Fein frowned slightly and immediately placed the bag in Jane's hand. "The line is still long, keep moving."

"Hmn... So cold, I like it. See you again!" Jane walked away from there leaving Fein who rolled his eyes in annoyance at the flirtatious omega.

All the groups that had gotten their tents immediately set them up in the designated places. The organizers were asked to go around to supervise the participants in case there was any difficulty with their tents.

Claire looked at his juniors who were working together to build their tents. He approached a group that seemed to set up the tent the fastest.

"Wow, you guys are great, you can do it quickly. You can rest until the end of the time," Claire complimented them.

"Thank you, senior! It's all thanks to our group leader, she's an expert at it," said one of them.

"Your group leader?" Claire looked around for the group leader they were referring to.

Until a girl tapped his shoulder and said she was the group leader. Claire turned around and found a black-haired girl with very recognizable red eyes.

"Oh... They're your group. No wonder then," Claire said.

"Yes, I'm the leader here. Good job, right?"

The man smiled then patted the girl's shoulder and went to look at the other groups.

"That senior is so handsome, isn't he? He looks really cool!"

"Right, I see his name is Claire Chester. I feel like I'm familiar with the name Chester..."

While Claire was looking around, the girl earlier, ran over to the man after she made sure the group tent was finished. She immediately pulled Claire's arm to a rather quiet place.

"Claire!" she called out.

"Yes? Don't call me that here, you have to call me senior or everyone knows who you are," Claire said.

"I don't mind, they'll find out sooner or later that we're siblings," replied the girl who was none other than Valerie.

Valerie had just graduated from middle school and was now attending the same school as Claire, which was why she was at the camp. But no one knew that Valerie and Claire were siblings.

"Yeah if you don't mind if they know. So why did you call me? Do you need any help?" Claire asked his younger sister.

"I want to give you something from mom." Valerie took out a medicine bottle from her jacket pocket and gave it to Claire. "Mom asked me to give it to you."

"Huh? Why would you bring me my suppressant? It's not my heat period."

Valerie shrugged her shoulders in ignorance. She was just doing what their mother told her to do. Their mother told her that it was just in case something happened and Claire needed it.

"Yeah well, mom always does that..." Claire put the suppressant into his pocket so that no one would see him carrying the medicine. Because of course the medicine was specialized for omegas.

It could be dangerous if anyone saw.

"Thank you," he continued as he rubbed Valerie's head. The two of them rarely fought because Claire loved Valerie very much, and vice versa.

Valerie is not the type of girl who likes to make a scene at home despite her tomboyish nature. Plus Valerie, who is an alpha, tries to protect her own brother who is an omega. That's why she doesn't like to see Claire close to any alpha.

At the same time, it turns out that their conversation was witnessed by Fein from a distance. He saw Valerie who pulled Claire's hand to a quiet place and gave him something. Claire even rubbed Valerie's head and suddenly she hugged him.

That made Fein feel both surprised and disturbed.

'How dare junior seem to be alone together and even hug Claire like that?' he thought without knowing that Valerie was Claire's younger sister.

Given their physical appearance, they didn't look alike at all.

After Valerie went back to her group, Claire walked away to gather with the other organizers along with Fein who followed him as well.

"Most of them have managed to set up their tents," Claire reported to the student council president then took a glass of cold lemonade.

"Oh great, they're already good at it. There's only fifteen minutes left until the end time."

"Are you paying attention? I thought you were busy being alone with a junior," Fein quipped as he took a glass of lemonade.

Claire turned his head while frowning. "How could I be like that at a time like this," Claire retorted in surprise.

"Yes, actually a time like this can be used as a place to approach those cute juniors. Let's show them our charisma at this event and make them marvel at us," said the committee representative from class 12B.

"That's right, especially since Claire is quite famous in our batch, you can definitely attract a lot of girls."

Claire laughed at their words and said that it was a good idea to do so. He also joked that he might be able to date them one by one later. The committee laughed at Claire's joke. Except for one person who felt Claire's words were quite serious.

'We'll see who you date in the future.'
