After Alan's birthday celebration, Claire and Fein headed straight home. On the way home, Fein seemed to be still thinking about their meeting with Dior.
Claire could sense that Fein was still a bit upset by Dior's words to him, especially since they also did not expect to meet that man again.
"I hope this doesn't affect our friendship, Fein. I'm sorry," Alan said before they left earlier. He was worried that the Alpha would be angry with him too for bringing Dior.
But of course Fein wasn't mad at Alan, just as Claire had said that no one knew that the man's cousin was the one they had trouble with.
"Fein, are you okay?" asked Claire as he tightened his grip on Fein's hand.
"I'm fine, sorry... I'm still feeling upset. Especially after seeing her again," he replied.
"It's okay, I feel the same way. Even though he used to be my best friend, what he did to me still makes me resent him to this day. It's hard to forgive him."
