The maid who held Avery's arm grinned, seeing the shocked look she wore. She nodded proudly as she looked around. "Are you shocked? Shocked that this many of us are tired of your bullshit. The words cut through the air, each one more venomous than the last. Avery's face flushed with anger, her fists clenched at her sides as the maid's words echoed in her mind. She had no idea where this kind of hate had come from.
