Chapter 1 - Ch 1: Hello New World

Hello! I am back.

And if you have read the original dropped one, ill already say it, this will not follow the original storyline, so think of this as a new story ok. I read thought the dropped version and found a lot of things I hope I don't mess up in this one. Also if you have ideas you would like to be added to the story comment them, ill try to integrate them into it.

---Chapter start

You might be thinking, Who am I? Well, let me introduce myself to y'all. I'm Arthur Wayne. (Yes, like Bruce Wayne, but let's be real—I'm poor AF.)

Now, if you're wondering where I am and what I'm doing, let me tell you a short story. I promise, it's quick:

One day, a dumb teen decides to do something stupid during a school trip and dies.

Story end.

...Okay, fine. I'll elaborate a little. That dumb teen? Yeah, that's me. It all started on a school trip to a frozen lake. Everything was fine, right up until I decided, "Hey, why not listen to these idiots and test my luck and step on the thinnest ice possible?" Turns out, luck wasn't on my side. One crack, one splash, and boom—game over for Arthur Wayne.

And now? I woke up in…a year old baby's body.

Yeah, you heard me right. Reincarnation is apparently real, and I got the short end of the stick—or so I thought. The weirdest part? I still have the same name. No identity crisis for me, thank you very much. But here's the kicker: right in front of me, there's a glowing, colorful lottery wheel hovering in the air. It says: Spins Left: 3.

Now, I've read enough isekai to know what this means. Cheat abilities. Power-ups. A potential ticket to awesomeness. Either that, or I'm hallucinating. For all I know, my brain could still be processing the last few seconds of my previous life. Didn't they say your brain stays active for a few minutes after death? But hey—whether this is real or not, who cares? I'm here, and I've got a wheel to spin.

"Alright, let's see what this bad boy can do," I muttered—or thought? (Can babies mutter?)

I reached out—or, again, thought I did—and gave the wheel a spin.

The wheel spun. And spun. And spun.

Seriously, why is this taking so long?

A thousand years later…

Okay, fine, it was more like a second, but it felt like forever. Finally, the wheel slowed to a stop, and the words popped up in front of me:

[World Hopper]: The ability of the World Hopper allows its user to travel between time and space of the same or different worlds. Time travel? EZ. Universal travel? Also EZ.

"...Well, that sounds cool," I thought, nodding to myself. "But not super useful at the moment, considering I'm literally a baby. Guess I'll put a pin in that one."

Time for spin number two.

I mentally reached for the wheel again.

[Spin!]

The wheel spun again, slightly faster this time. Within moments, another result popped up:

[ID Create]: Allows the user to create an ID for any universe.

[Set unlocked 2/??]

"Huh, 'Set'? So, this and [World Hopper] are part of the same set? Interesting," I mused. "But…uh, not exactly helpful right now, either. I'm a baby. Can't really 'create an ID' when I can't even walk properly yet."

No matter. On to the third spin.

"Alright, third time's the charm. Let's make it count," I thought, hyping myself up. I reached for the wheel one last time.

[Spin!]

The wheel spun. And spun. And spun.

(Seriously, why does this thing take so long? Are we running on baby CPU power or something?)

Finally, the wheel stopped, and the result popped up:

[Dull Life (Free Version)]: Bored of your dull and boring life? Well, why not skip it? With Dull Life, skip up to 10 years of life.

(Note: Free version requires the user to see ads. 1 year of life = 1 ad.)

"...What."

I blinked—or, at least, tried to blink. "What the hell is this? Ads?! You're telling me I have to watch ads to skip life? What kind of scam is this?"

This was…something else. I wasn't sure whether to laugh, cry, or just facepalm.

"Well, at least the wheel has a sense of humor," I thought. "Though I have to admit, the idea of skipping through my baby years doesn't sound too bad. Watching ads is a small price to pay to avoid diaper changes and teething."

But before I could make a decision, a tiny voice echoed in my mind:

"Congratulations, user! Your first three spins have been completed. The [Gacha System] will recharge with 3 new spins in 30 days. Please use your new abilities wisely. Have a nice day!"

And just like that, the wheel disappeared.

"Well, that's one way to start a new life," I thought. "Now all I have to do is figure out where I am, what world I'm in, and—oh, right—how to survive as a baby. No big deal, right?"

Right.

With a deep (mental) sigh, I settled into my new reality, ready to face whatever the future held.
