At midnight, Shin was fast asleep with Mary, Ase, and Arachne curled over him. He managed to keep them from doing anything but he couldn't prevent them from sleeping with him.
Arachne opened her eyes and looked down. Mary and Ase are still asleep, Shin as well seems to be having goodnight rest warmed by all three of them. She sat up and shifted into her large spider form.
With her long limbs, she fully covered them up and waited for a few seconds.
The tent's zipper slowly opened up and a rugged old man with a long bushy beard looked inside with a smile. As the moonlight shined inside the tent, the old man saw Arachne standing over everyone.
A massive black spider with a red mark on her stomach, her eight eyes burned with terrifying eldritch magic as it grunted. The man's face paled, not once in his life had he seen a spider of that size.
Slowly and with shaking hands he lowered the zipper and started backing away with shaking knees. The other bandits saw him and giggled, "What's up man? What's inside…"
"Hush!" He glared at them, "A monster, a big fucking spider…" He whispered with a terrified face.
"A spider?" The other laughed, "Are you scared of spiders? Just stomp it, spiders are everywhere." The one who replied approached the ten with a giggle.
The moment the second bandit opened the zipper and looked inside he gasped, "Ah, shit. It's a big fucking spider…AH! Shit! IT'S A BIG FUCKING SPIDER!" He cried as Arachne lunged at him.
He immediately jumped back and rolled on the ground with a horrified face. He checked his chest and arms, he wasn't bitten. But the moment he sighed in relief, he noticed all the other bandits looking at him with terrified faces.
The man slowly looked down as he sensed a tingle on his right. His right foot had bloated to almost double its size and was dripping puss. Like eating hot pepper, the burning sensation started growing stronger and stronger until he was wailing on the ground in agony.
Arachne slowly approached and bit him in the stomach. She then started wrapping him up like a burrito in front of everyone, he was still alive and screaming. Arachne's venom digests its prey from the inside out while still forcing them to stay awake until the last moment of their lives.
Arachne might've lost a lot of power and had shrunk massively, but that's only it. She doesn't have as much venom, but her venom is still the same. The world spider's venom was hailed as the strongest in the world, it can't be cured with normal means and causes so much pain and suffering that it became her biggest income source. Yes, she sold her venom in auctions whenever she needed a lot of money, and people fought over it.
The other bandits stared in terror, their legs frozen in place. They had never seen such a monster before even in those dangerous parts of the world.
One turned to run away but Arachne immediately flew at him. She accelerated in the blink of an eye and reached the man, with such speed and explosive power that was only possible due to her demonic nature. Things as big as her shouldn't move that fast.
The second victim was already rolling on the ground, he got bitten on the neck which caused his eyes to pop out of their sockets and his upper body to swell up like a balloon.
The bandits realized that giving their back to the spider meant death, those inside the tent must've already been killed by the spider, otherwise, all this scream would've woken them up. This was bad, they attacked a camp that was already overrun by a powerful monster.
"Shit! Shit! Shit!" Their captain growled, if he had known the spider was here he would've waited until it left the place before coming. Monsters would usually eat people and horses but leave everything of value. It was simply stupid to attack while a monster was attacking.
Arachne slowly looked aside and saw one of the bandits carrying the prisoner woman on his shoulder. They got to her tent first.
The prisoner woman looked toward Arachne with tearful eyes, trying to scream but the bandits had her mouth muffled.
A black thread came out of Arachne's butt and she started shaking her rear end. The bandit noticed that she was glaring at him and he slowly put the prisoner woman down. "Here you go…I'm not touching your food…" He tried to back away slowly but Arachne swung her butt, swinging the thread like a whip, and slashed his head off in the blink of an eye.
One of the bandits started running backward while still holding his sword forward, ready to block any attack. All he wanted was to get as far away from Arachne as possible so he could turn around and run away.
CLACK! The moment his back reached the woods, something smacked him with enough force that his body ripped in half and got thrown into the campfire. The bandits all looked back and saw a massive brown bear standing on its rear legs with a deathly face. It didn't take them long to notice the bite marks on its side.
"It's dead…" One gasped. The bear was indeed long dead, the fine black threads coming out of the trees and linking to his limbs was what kept him moving. [Spider's thread doll] While Arachne was out setting her alarm system she hunted as many monsters and animals around the area and wrapped them with her threads so she could control them later on.
Four other bears appeared, then a large tiger, twelve apes, some wild boars, and even snakes, and a whole flock of birds all appeared out of the wood, all dead and controlled by Arachne.
The bandit's horror night had just started as the man who got split in half by the bear started bloating up. All of those controlled dolls are drenched in Arachne's deadly venom.
"Fuck it! On her!" The bandit's captain screamed as he lept at Arachne with a burning sword, aiming to cleave her in half.
She easily dodged his strike and wrapped him with her threads, pinning him in place.
"This…is nothing!" With a single swing of his sword, he burned all of her threads and laughed, "Easily burned like all spider threads…" He didn't live to finish his sentence as the toxic fumes dropped him dead instantly.
Arachne wasn't just any spider, she was the World's Spider. She can't be defeated by normal means and tactics that work with other spiders are deadly mistakes against her.
Even in the past, her venom was a deadly one-hit kill as long as she had delivered a large enough dose, and burning her web wasn't an option, this meant that the only way someone could hope to defeat her was a no-hit fight while only relying on dodge.
Among the bandits was a wizard, she looked at Arachne with a terrified face. She could see the pulsing black magic burning like fire, "We can't win…" She gasped.
