Chapter 164 - The weakened version of the devil? The identity of the King of the Underworld

In his previous life, international rift contracts were typically split 80/20, with settlements occurring every three months. Yet, this old man had directly disrupted such arrangements!

Xu Que sent a message: "Ask if the old master can amend it."

Ye Gou replied, "Boss, are you suggesting we go ahead with the contract you sent?"

Xu Que replied, "Yes, if they aren't willing, let them find someone else. After all, rules cannot be changed."

Ye Gou said, "Alright, I'll talk to the old tortoise. If it doesn't work out, I'll have him call you."

...

Xu Que cursed inwardly, this Ye Gou was such a dog. When he couldn't negotiate, he simply passed the ball to him.

Xu Que said, "Fine, do your best."

After finishing his conversation with Ye Gou, Xu Que continued browsing posts. During this time, he exchanged messages with Liang Jinyu, Shen Mengchu, and even Murong Xuan'er.

Regarding this high-level tea master, Xu Que could only say his skills were quite average. Handling him was a bit difficult, and sometimes he even had to consult Liang Jinyu for advice. When a tea master encountered a business elite, it was like a clash of thunder and lightning—more than enough to flip the whole pond over.

As the plane descended into Yinchuan City, Xu Que found the journey quite thrilling. Confirming three posts, and witnessing the tea master's struggles, he couldn't help but chuckle. He thought to himself, one day he'd go watch this tea master in a bikini.

Little did Xu Que know, this so-called tea master was a woman with more cunning than even Liang Jinyu! As for the "little four," she wouldn't admit it before marriage—after all, she was Murong Xuan'er!

...

Xu Que arrived at the stationed area of the Zai Tian Company in Yinchuan. After chatting with Yue Xiaoqin for a while, he was briefed on the current status of the rifts. Though it was just surface data, at least their basic exploration work was well done.

"Xu Zong, here's the A-level rift contract you requested," Yue Xiaoqin handed him the documents.

Xu Que nodded, accepting the contract, and said, "Good, thank you for your hard work. After this, tell Qi Shan to speed up his progress. Once the rift outbreak ends, we'll move on to Beijing."

"Understood!" Yue Xiaoqin watched Xu Que leave.

This time, China had successfully closed six A-level rifts, and Xu Que's original task was to close just one. To his surprise, he had also closed the rift in the Northeast.

As for the other A-level rifts, Shen Yin, Tian Qi, and the Ten Brothers would surely take action. After all, China's strength was truly formidable now. Compared to his past life, Xu Que believed they would soon encounter those sun gods!

Upon reaching the entrance of the A-level rift, Xu Que quickly submitted the contract and entered the rift.

When he opened his eyes again, a massive waterfall greeted him. Just as he wondered how to ascend, a pack of end-of-line demon wolves charged from the nearby dense forest.

Xu Que, uninterested in these creatures, swiftly cut through them with a single strike, scattering the pack. After collecting their materials, he carefully surveyed the terrain. No information about this space was available from his previous life.

Back in his past life, Yinchuan was essentially a no-man's land, so both Yinchuan and Hezhou would require Xu Que to fill in the gaps himself.

Expanding his perception, Xu Que ventured into a densely populated area of interdimensional creatures. Though there were many such creatures, they were no match for Xu Que's slaughter. These A-level creatures posed little threat.

After finding a path upwards, Xu Que began climbing toward the waterfall. As he reached the top, his eyes widened in shock!

"My heavens! This can't be the right place, right?"

A massive ruined ancient city appeared before him. Among the ruins, tiny demons were playfully scattered about, and their appearance reminded him of gargoyles, except these lacked wings or had not yet branched into fully developed forms.

The demons had dark skin, unlike the deep red-skinned ones he'd seen before. There were eight in total.

Xu Que glanced down at the waterfall below, now certain this was indeed the rift's true space!

As he pondered how to avoid the demons, one of them suddenly emitted a "woo woo" sound, and the others turned to look at Xu Que.

"Come on! Do you have to be in such a rush?"

Xu Que inwardly cursed, but quickly activated the **Eye of Exploration**. Seeing they were all A-level, he felt somewhat relieved. These demons were far from being super A-levels, as demons were among the pinnacle of interdimensional creatures.

The demons charged toward him, and Xu Que, gripping his black longsword, decisively met them head-on. With a single slash, the first demon was cleaved in two. Another powerful sword strike instantly cut down two more.

Xu Que was shocked. These demons were so weak it was almost terrifying...

As three demons fell, the remaining five shrieked in fury. Xu Que, unfazed, thought, "If they're this easy to kill, no need to spare them." He swiftly slaughtered them all, one by one.

With a final swing of his sword, the last two demons were vanquished.

"Not bad. Didn't expect these demons to be so weak!"

Xu Que was in high spirits, surveying the ruined city nearby while collecting the energy orbs left behind by the slain creatures.

...

In the ruins of a building in the Magic Capital, a man wearing a Shura mask watched a figure approaching. This figure wore a Yanwang mask.

"Speak," the Shura figure said.

"Don't provoke the Zai Tian Hunter Company. They're not as simple as you think," the King of Hell said.

"Why?" Shura asked.

The King of Hell coldly replied, "Xu Que is strong."

Shura slightly tilted his head, surprised by the response. "How does he compare to you?"

"Unclear. I've never fought him," the King of Hell responded.

Shura raised an eyebrow. This was not something the King of Hell would typically say.

"And what about Zhao Xian?"

"Draw," the King of Hell answered.

"Then that's enough. If Xu Que isn't stronger than Zhao Xian, the organization can still control him," Shura said indifferently.

"What if the Zai Tian Company demands someone?"

Shura's eyes darkened. "Then we'll destroy the Zai Tian Company!"

Hearing this, the King of Hell was somewhat surprised. He hadn't expected things to escalate so quickly, but with the prospect of the Qianjing International Tower at stake, he had no desire for things to get out of hand.

"Are you sure you want to do this?"

"For the Master, I'll do anything," Shura replied solemnly.

"Madman!" the King of Hell sneered, turning to leave.

"Remember your mission," Shura reminded.

The King of Hell paused, then turned back to say, "Gui Sha and Centipede are working together. According to Centipede, they should no longer be controlled by the organization."

"Centipede betrayed the organization. He'll be punished," Shura said, a hint of mockery in his voice.

...

Without saying another word, the King of Hell disappeared into the ruins. After leaving the area, he checked his surroundings, ripped off his cloak and mask, and glanced toward the direction of Qianjing Tower.

If Xu Que saw this man, he would be taken aback. The terrifying King of Hell from his past life was none other than Zhou Qingyun!

"Let's go, prepare yourselves," Zhou Qingyun said calmly.

Thirteen figures immediately appeared at his side. These thirteen were none other than the legendary "Thirteen Guardians."
