As the dozen men fell, the video feed tilted, capturing Chen Tianfang's stunned expression. Just moments ago, he'd been arrogant, issuing commands—but the sight that followed chilled his blood. Xu Que picked up the phone with a cold smile, passing over each of the thirteen lifeless bodies.
"Don't worry; you're next."
*Bang!*
Chen Tianfang hurled the phone to the ground in fury, unable to believe that Xu Que possessed such terrifying power.
"Are reinforcements still not here?" he demanded, glaring at Chen Jun.
"They'll be here shortly, uncle," Chen Jun responded hurriedly. Hearing this, Chen Tianfang's rage ebbed slightly.
On the other side, Xu Que arrived at the estate's entrance. With a single, forceful kick, the gates shattered. Security personnel immediately raised their weapons, training them toward the doorway, and as soon as Xu Que entered, a hail of gunfire erupted.
Realizing their firearms could not harm him but might at least delay him, the guards kept firing, desperate. Xu Que's clothes became riddled with bullet holes, yet he remained unfazed.
"You're all a nuisance. Since you seek death, let me show you the true power you crave."
With his words, the bullets around him halted mid-air, wrapped in his spiritual energy.
*Whoosh!* *Whoosh!*
One by one, the bullets transformed into searing beams, now far more powerful than any firearm, and shot back at the guards. A sniper in the distance felt his scalp tingle as a bullet, impossibly guided, expanded before his eyes.
*Thud!*
A sniper round drilled through his forehead, sending him crumpling to the ground. The rest of the guards followed, each falling with a single, precise shot through the brow.
With the guards eliminated, a lone figure suddenly emerged from the shadows.
"Young man, isn't it time to stop? You've spilled enough blood tonight."
Xu Que gave a slight smile, eyes turning toward the intruder.
"Ah, a B-class. Finally, someone of worth."
"Young man, I know you're with Exploding Heavens Hunter Company, so if you don't—"
Before he could finish, Xu Que's finger twitched. A sniper round, glowing with deadly intent, shot from the ground straight at him. Sensing imminent death, the man forced himself to brace, gathering all his strength into his blade and meeting the projectile head-on. Energy clashed violently, leaving cracks in the marble beneath his feet and forcing him back several meters.
The bullet, barely deflected, grazed his shoulder, crashing into the ground and leaving a deep crater. The man's breath grew heavy, and he looked back to see Xu Que smiling, his hair tousled by the night breeze.
"Impressive. A B-class opponent who can actually provide some amusement. But how will you fare against two bullets?"
Realizing his dire predicament, the man paled, unable to summon the courage to continue his bravado. He hadn't expected Xu Que's speed to outmatch his own by such a staggering degree.
Xu Que held back, controlling the bullets' pace just below the B-class limit.
*Bang!* *Bang!*
Dodging frantically, the man's eyes flicked to the newly-formed craters with growing dread.
"Zhang, Yu—help me!" he shouted desperately.
Xu Que's smile tightened as he sensed the presence of two more B-class entities hiding within the estate's main villa, while the D-class operatives lurking in the shadows were paralyzed with fear.
"Interesting," he mused. "So, we're among friends, are we?"
Far from the mansion, Zhang Xian and Yu Feng shivered, sneezing in unison. Back inside, Xu Que advanced slowly on his cornered foe, hundreds of floating bullets surrounding him.
Seeing this, the man's face drained of color. Though unafraid of ordinary bullets, these were infused with spiritual power.
"Please… we've misunderstood each other. This is a mistake."
"A mistake?" Xu Que laughed. "It's a mistake just because you can't win? Since when is the world so merciful?"
"I'm from Tianhui, the Chen clan—name your price, and it's yours."
The name did not faze Xu Que; he knew Tianhui's depths well.
"Lead the way. Take me inside," Xu Que commanded, placing five bullets behind Chen Jingyu's head, making it clear escape wasn't an option.
Inside the villa, everyone froze at the sight of Chen Jingyu, clearly subdued. Chen Tianfang narrowed his eyes, struggling to contain his rage.
"Well, well, we finally meet," Xu Que said with a mocking smile.
"Kill him!" Chen Tianfang's voice rang out, and the two B-class operatives lunged toward Xu Que.
Amused, Xu Que gave Chen Jingyu a swift kick before sweeping his black sword in an arc. Chen Jingyu, realizing his safety, rose quickly, but a single look from Xu Que rooted him in place.
As the B-class duo launched a furious assault, the room's decor disintegrated in a hail of debris. Chen Tianfang, seizing the chaos, grabbed his son and nephew to flee, but two bullets from nowhere shattered their kneecaps.
"Ahhh!" They cried, clutching their legs in agony.
"Pathetic. Just get out!" Chen Tianfang barked, dragging the two young men along. Yet the sight of dozens of bullets floating before him halted his steps.
Chen Jingyu, paralyzed, watched the clash like a wooden statue, hoping not to attract attention.
After a dozen moves, Xu Que shook his head in disappointment.
"Pitiful. I'm defending the whole time, and you can't even touch me."
Stung by his words, the two B-class operatives braced to retreat, but Xu Que appeared behind them, his movements swift and lethal.
With a chilling spray of blood, one of their heads dropped to the floor, leaving Chen Jingyu dumbstruck as his last sliver of hope disintegrated.
"Tell Zhang Dahai that if he values his life, he'll come to see me at Exploding Heavens," Xu Que ordered, his voice chilling.
"Yes, I'll deliver the message!" Chen Jingyu stammered, bolting from the villa.
"Xu Que, don't think you've won. Special forces will be here soon. Let us go now, and you might still escape," Chen Tianfang sneered, attempting to threaten his way out.
Xu Que let out a dismissive laugh.
"Idiot."
With a flick of his finger, the bullets pierced through Chen Yan and Chen Jun's skulls, ending their defiance in an instant.
