The purple treasure chest contained no forbidden mechanisms, only a line of text.
"Survivor: Xus Kurland."
Although Xu Que was puzzled as to why this purple-gold chest lacked any traps, it at least made him understand why some people, despite not knowing the methods to solve puzzles, could still obtain treasures.
"Hmm? Only two items..." Xu Que was somewhat confused, but as soon as he opened his inventory, his attention was drawn to an ancient parchment.
He did not immediately inspect the contents, as there were still people waiting for him outside.
Taking out the anchor point key, he gently twisted it, and a crack, resembling the ripple of water, appeared instantly.
When Xu Que reappeared, Huang Bo and Qi Kai were visibly astonished.
"Mr. Xu, you've finally come out! We've been waiting for you for four hours," Huang Bo remarked.
As Huang Bo finished speaking, everyone opened their eyes. Upon seeing Xu Que return, they hurriedly approached and exchanged pleasantries.
"How did you know when I left?" Xu Que asked in surprise.
He had spent ten years in his past life trying, unsuccessfully, to calculate the passage of time in a different-dimensional space.
"We have this," Young Master Kun said proudly, taking out a small wooden block from his chest.
Xu Que took the block, inspecting it in his hand. It seemed movable.
With a gentle push, something resembling a watch appeared before him.
"This is a simple timer made of peach wood," Zhao Xian explained. "Most of it is wood and plastic, with no metal components."
"Where did you get it?" Xu Que asked curiously.
"I made it myself," Qi Kai said, raising his hand awkwardly.
Xu Que stared at Qi Kai in shock. He had never expected that such a rough individual could create something so intricate, even managing to isolate certain materials from the space crack!
"Mr. Xu, when you first asked us if we brought any electronic devices, I sensed something was wrong. After we entered the rift a few times, even those winding watches stopped working. That's when I thought about how to measure time in there, so I developed this," Qi Kai explained sheepishly.
Although Xu Que didn't fully understand every detail, he grasped the general idea.
Reflecting on his previous life, he was certain that Qi Kai hadn't existed back then. And now, seeing the carefree Young Master Kun, he suddenly seemed to understand.
So, this is how it is!
"This device can not only calculate how long we've been here, but can it also synchronize with the time outside?" Xu Que asked.
"Press the button when you enter. The error won't exceed ten minutes, though it can't be as precise as a watch," Qi Kai quickly explained.
"That's more than enough. With this, I believe our company will avoid many unnecessary sacrifices," Xu Que said, patting Qi Kai on the shoulder before tossing the wooden block to Young Master Kun.
"When are we leaving?" Huang Bo, who had been standing near the stone gate, asked.
"You all go ahead, I'll stay behind," Xu Que responded, standing firm in front of the stone gate.
As the others hurriedly exited the other-dimensional space, Xu Que had barely run a few steps when a swarm of Ghost Evil Frogs pushed the massive stone door open from behind.
Looking back at the swarming Ghost Evil Frogs, Xu Que sighed inwardly, then vanished from the space in an instant.
Once the rift closed, Xu Que and his companions returned to the outside world.
"We're fast this time, only a little more than a day has passed," Young Master Kun shouted from afar, holding up his phone.
Hearing that it had only been a day, Xu Que was somewhat taken aback.
He had thought that two days had passed, but it had only been a little over one. This meant that there was just over a day left before the rift would erupt.
"Mr. Xu, shall we go back to the company and submit the task report?" Huang Bo asked.
"You all head back first, I need to make a trip to the Harbor District," Xu Que said, stepping onto his long sword and flying towards the Harbor District.
Watching Xu Que fly off, Young Master Kun attempted to channel his spiritual energy, and instantly, his body began to float like a balloon.
"Haha! I can fly now!" he cheered.
Zhao Xian shook his head in exasperation. He had attempted brief flights when he reached level C, but back then, he could only maintain it for about five minutes.
"Alright, let's hurry back to the company. There's a lot of data that needs to be filled out by Mr. Xu," Zhao Xian said as he casually stepped forward, instantly vanishing from sight.
Seeing this strange movement, Huang Bo froze for a moment. Before he could try it himself, Qi Kai stopped him.
"Just drive properly. One is showing off, the other has a supernatural speed technique. We can't compare," he said.
Huang Bo glanced at him, muttering under his breath, "If you hadn't said anything, no one would've thought you were mute."

Harbor District
The Death Trial was still ongoing.
After witnessing Qi Shan single-handedly defeat more than twenty alien creatures, they now fully understood the meaning of the word "disparity."
"Yue Qing, it's up to you. I'll go help Xiao Qin," Yue Gang said, tossing his spear in her direction.
At that moment, Yue Xiao Qin was entangled with two twin-tailed scorpions.
As she fended off one of the twin-tailed scorpion's relentless attacks, a long spear suddenly shot past her side.
"Whoosh!"
The spear pierced one of the scorpions with perfect accuracy. Almost immediately, Yue Gang appeared at the spear's rear end.
With a swift pull, the blue blood of the twin-tailed scorpion sprayed out as the spear was withdrawn.
Yue Xiao Qin gritted her teeth. Although she could now face the two scorpions normally, truly killing them still proved difficult.
With a swing of her short sword, the rear legs of another scorpion were swiftly severed, and she followed up with a horizontal strike to its head.
"Whoosh!"
Blue blood splattered, and the twin-tailed scorpion stood no chance. It was killed instantly.
"Not bad. But next time, I won't have time to save you," Yue Gang said, using his spear to flip the scorpion's body over.
Seeing this, Yue Xiao Qin quickly took the opportunity to strike again at the scorpion's head.
As the blue blood poured out, she grinned, saying, "I'll wash your clothes for a day as compensation when we get back."
"No need. Your compensation is too cheap. I'll take it up with you when I need it," Yue Gang replied, sheathing his spear as he walked toward the central rest area.
Yue Xiao Qin shrugged and followed him quickly.
After the Yue family's ten members had killed over thirty alien creatures, Qi Shan appeared at the central rest area, grinning and carrying two bags of trash.
"Good, very good. This is your final test. Do your best."
As soon as Qi Shan finished speaking, he tossed the two trash bags into the other-dimensional rift.
"Big Brother Shan, why don't you show us another demonstration?" Yue Shan shouted loudly.
"Enough. This is your test," Qi Shan said nonchalantly, taking a step back. "Earlier, when you two were unconscious and three others were heavily injured, I stepped in because I feared something would go wrong with the rift."
As Qi Shan finished speaking, the other-dimensional rift appeared instantly, and faint red light began to glow around the crack.
Suddenly, nearly thirty human bear monsters charged out.
The Yue family members, having no time for idle chatter, drew their weapons with solemn expressions and moved toward the rift.
Watching the ten of them transform as if reborn, Qi Shan nodded in satisfaction. Just as he was about to discuss something with his brothers, Xu Que's voice sounded behind him.
"How many times have they taken the vitality potion?"
