Kaizen felt a sudden heaviness on his leg and quickly realized something was wrong. As he tried to pull his leg back, a metallic clink caught his attention.
A chain had been fastened around his foot without him noticing.
"How crafty," Kaizen muttered, narrowing his eyes. He stepped back cautiously, keeping his guard up against any further tricks.
"This is a Seastone chain!" one of the CP agents sneered, a self-assured smirk spreading across his face. "No matter how strong you are, you won't be able to break it!"
Kaizen's expression remained unfazed. "Hmph! I'm not a Devil Fruit user, so don't get too excited."
His calm demeanor made the CP agents hesitate, their confidence wavering for a moment.
"You!" the leader barked at his subordinates. "Go after the brat and the scientist. I'll hold him back!"
At the order, the CP agents moved swiftly, dispersing in all directions as they tried to pursue Vegapunk and Caesar, who had fled moments earlier.
But they underestimated Kaizen. His Observation Haki allowed him to track their every move with precise clarity.
"Did you think I'd let you go so easily?" Kaizen smirked.
To the CP agents, it seemed as though time had slowed. Kaizen appeared before them in an instant, delivering a series of rapid kicks and punches that sent them crashing back to their original positions.
"Go back to where you came from. Stop causing trouble for others," Kaizen said, his voice calm yet mocking.
The CP agents, clearly rattled, exchanged uneasy glances.
"Damn it, his Observation Haki is absurdly strong," one of them muttered.
Kaizen, now leaning casually against a wall, crossed his arms. "You really can't handle much, can you? Go back and tell your bosses—Kaizen interfered with your inhumane experiments. If they want to stop me, they'll have to send someone stronger. You're just not good enough."
The CP agents bristled at his taunt, their pride taking a heavy blow.
"You talk too much," one of them growled. "Let's shut that mouth of yours for good!"
Without waiting for a signal, the agents launched a coordinated attack.
Kaizen's eyes lit up with excitement. "Finally getting serious, are we? About time."
---
The agents moved with blinding speed, their techniques showcasing the full force of their training.
"Shigan!"
"Rankyaku!"
"Shave!"
Techniques of the Rokushiki martial arts came at Kaizen from all directions like a storm of deadly rain. Yet, Kaizen moved effortlessly, weaving between their strikes with a grace that belied the chaos surrounding him.
"Is this the best the World Government can offer? You're making me bored!" Kaizen's voice was filled with mockery.
"Shut up!" one of the agents roared, throwing a powerful punch directly at Kaizen's face.
Kaizen didn't move to dodge. Instead, he coated his forehead in Armament Haki and took the punch head-on.
The resulting clash sent shockwaves through the air.
Crack!
A sickening snap echoed as the CP agent's fist broke on impact. He staggered back, clutching his limp arm.
"You call that a punch?" Kaizen scoffed. "Feels more like you were throwing dough at me."
The other agents gnashed their teeth in anger, their frustration reaching a boiling point.
"Attack his legs! He's chained up, so he can't dodge!"
The agents swarmed toward Kaizen's Seastone-bound leg, hoping to exploit his apparent weakness.
But Kaizen met their advance with a powerful counter. Despite the chain, he swung his leg with precision and overwhelming force, knocking them all back in one devastating motion.
"Are you all mice in your past lives? Scurrying around and nibbling at anything you can find?" Kaizen sneered.
The agents, now scattered across the battlefield, regrouped with grim determination.
"This guy's power is unreal," one of them muttered.
"Looks like we have no choice but to use our trump cards," said the leader.
The agents shed their cloaks, revealing muscular physiques that pulsed with enhanced energy. Their bloodshot eyes gleamed ominously in the moonlight, giving them the appearance of demons.
Kaizen's eyes narrowed. "Finally showing your true colors, huh? Let's see what you've got."
---
The agents attacked with renewed ferocity, their speed and power now several times greater than before.
Kaizen activated his Observation Haki, tracking their movements. But as he dodged and countered, he noticed something unusual—a punch aimed at his chest landed with an unexpected weight.
"Ugh!" Kaizen grunted, stumbling backward.
Before he could recover, another strike hit him from behind, followed by a kick that sent him crashing into the ground. Dust and debris erupted from the impact.
The CP agents surrounded his fallen form, their shadows casting an oppressive aura.
"Do we kill him now?" one of them asked coldly.
"No. Let's leave him alive for the higher-ups," the leader said. "But first, we'll make sure he doesn't get up again."
As the agents prepared to finish him off, Kaizen's voice rang out.
"Oi, are you done already?"
The agents froze, their eyes widening in disbelief.
Kaizen slowly sat up, brushing the dust off his coat. His expression was one of mild irritation.
"Man, I actually fell asleep for a second there. What a shameful moment," he said, running a hand through his hair.
The agents stared at him, dumbfounded.
"Does this mean... he wasn't even fighting seriously?" one of them stammered.
Kaizen cracked his neck and stood, his presence now more intimidating than ever.
"Alright, playtime's over. Let me show you what happens when I actually try."
With a casual motion, Kaizen grabbed the Seastone chain wrapped around his leg.
Snap!
The chain shattered as though it were made of glass.
The CP agents stood frozen in shock as Kaizen's Haki surged, his aura now engulfing the entire battlefield.
"Let's finish this," Kaizen declared, a confident grin spreading across his face.
