Inferno's fiery aura flared as he stepped forward, a defiant smirk curling his lips. "Healing and light? That's it? All this hype about your evolution, and its nothing but parlor tricks ." He crossed his arms, his crimson eyes narrowing at Seraph. "Let me prove just how useless it is."
Without warning, he turned a massive fireball toward her, its blazing heat warping the air. Seraph didn't flinch. A sphere of light materialized around her, the fireball crashing against it and dissipating harmlessly.
Inferno sneered. "Cute trick. Let me see how long that shield lasts."
He lunged forward, unleashing a torrent of fire attacks. Streams of flames coiled and surged toward Seraph like serpents, surrounding her in an inferno. Yet, every attack was met with unwavering resistance as her light shield absorbed and extinguished the flames.
Seraph's calm voice cut through the roar of the fire. "Is this all you've got, Inferno? You're going to need more than that."
Her words ignited his temper further. Inferno slammed his fists together, a blazing column of fire erupting around him. "Fine! Let's turn up the heat!"
He launched into a relentless assault, hurling volleys of fireballs, waves of flames, and even unleashed a massive flamethrower attack that scorched the ground. The intense heat seared the air, but Seraph remained unyielding. Her wings of light expanded, their glow intensifying as they deflected and neutralized every attack.
"Inferno," she said, her voice steady but firm, "your flames burn brightly, but they lack purpose."
With a swift motion, she spread her hands wide. Six orbs of light appeared around her, orbiting with dazzling speed. They fired beams of concentrated energy at Inferno, forcing him to dodge frantically.
He growled, frustration building. "Stop hiding behind your light and fight me!"
Seraph obliged. In a blur of motion, she closed the gap between them, her movements graceful yet devastatingly precise. A blade of radiant energy formed in her hand as she struck, slicing through Inferno's flames and landing a clean hit on his shoulder.
He stumbled back, wincing as the light burned away at his defenses. "What the hell...?"
"Light isn't just for healing," Seraph said, her voice resonating with authority. "It's the power to illuminate, and destroy when necessary."
Inferno roared, summoning a massive fire dragon to attack. The fiery construct lunged at Seraph, its jaws wide open. With a single sweep of her wings, Seraph unleashed a radiant wave of energy that obliterated the dragon in an instant.
Inferno fell to his knees, panting, the fire around him flickering weakly. Seraph hovered above him, her glowing form exuding power and calm. "You're strong, Inferno, but strength alone isn't enough. Evolve, or you'll always fall short."
Tempest's voice rang out, cutting through the tense silence. "Enough."
She stepped forward, her lightning crackling around her. "Inferno's down. The rest of you, get up."
The remaining heroes exchanged uneasy glances but obeyed, rising to their feet. Tempest's gaze swept over them, her expression unyielding. "From now on. you'll be training against me and Seraph. You won't stop until every one of you evolves."
Seraph landed beside Tempest, her wings folding gracefully behind her. "We won't hold back. So neither should you."
The air grew tense as the heroes prepared themselves. Then, in an instant, the battlefield erupted into chaos. Tempest darted forward, her lightning carving through the air as she targeted Titan. He braced himself, his armored form taking the brunt of her attacks but struggling to keep up with her speed.
Seraph took to the skies, her orbs of light raining beams down on Warden and Echo, forcing them to work together to block and evade. Vanguard charged at Tempest, his shield glowing as he attempted to land a decisive blow, but she sidestepped effortlessly and countered with a burst of electricity that sent him skidding back.
The heroes fought valiantly, their teamwork improving with every clash. Cryo and Phantom coordinated to freeze and trap Tempest, only for her lightning to shatter their icy restraints. Inferno, though exhausted, rejoined the fray, his flames rekindled as he attacked Seraph with renewed determination.
But no matter how hard they tried, Tempest and Seraph were always a step ahead. Every attack was countered, every strategy dismantled. The two women pushed the team to their limits, forcing them to dig deeper and fight harder than ever before.
The training session stretched on, the battlefield a storm of light, fire, ice, and lightning. By the end, the heroes were battered and exhausted, but there was a spark of something new in their eyes—a determination to rise to the challenge and evolve.
Tempest surveyed the scene, a small smirk on her face. "Good. You're starting to understand. Rest up. Tomorrow, we go even harder."
Seraph nodded in agreement, her serene aura contrasting with the intensity of her words. "You all have potential. But potential means nothing if you don't act on it. Evolve, or be left behind."
As the heroes staggered off the field, the atmosphere buzzed with anticipation. The fight for evolution had just begun.
