Chapter 10 - The Suit of Power

Knox walked down the alley, the weight of his recent battle still lingering in his muscles. He turned his thoughts inward focusing on the voice of Kaelina in his mind.

"Kaelina, I've got to ask—why the hell did I struggle with those guys? I've got 7% of Superman's strength and powers now, right? Shouldn't I have wiped the floor with them?"

Kaelina's voice came through cool and detached, as always. "Well, it's true that you have those powers, but the truth is your body isn't quite strong enough to utilize the full 7% yet. Your mind is subconsciously using about 2%, and the rest of the power is still locked away. Your body is transforming, but it needs more time to adjust to your new Krytonian DNA. You''ll need to train, push your limits, and absorb sunlight to unlock more of your potential."

"Kryptonian?" Knox raised an eyebrow, slightly confused. "Wait, so when I opened the gift pack, it changed my DNA? I'm not just some guy with powers now?"

"Exactly. You've got Kryptonian DNA now," Kaelina explained. "Your body isn't just capable of using Superman's powers; it's going through a transformation that's making you stronger by the minute. But you'll need to train and soak up sunlight to fully activate your Kryptonian physiology. It's more than just raw strength—it's a whole new form of power."

Knox considered that for a moment, his mind still trying to catch up with the magnitude of it. But Kaelina wasn't done. "Now, about the suit—it's time."

"The suit?" Knox blinked, remembering briefly that Kaelina had mentioned it before. "What do you mean, it's time?"

A sharp hum of energy cut through the air, and before he could react, a metallic black suit materialized before him, hovering in the air like it had a mind of its own. He gasped at if for a moment, stunned at how it seemed to appear out of nowhere.

The suit was a masterpiece—its base was sleek, metallic black, exuding an aura of power and mystery. The color itself gave off a dark, commanding presence, perfect for someone who would one day rule. Golden and deep crimson accents traced the suit's contours, shimmering with energy, adding to the aura of power that radiated from it.

Knox eyes widened as he took in the emblem at the center of the chest—a radiant crown that glowed softly, symbolizing leadership and authority. It looked like something out of a legend, marking him as someone destined to lead, to dominate.

"Holy shit..." Knox muttered under his breath, unable to tear this eyes away from the intricate design.

Kaelina's voice was filled with a smug tone. "Like it? I did a great job, didn't I? Now, let me explain a few things. First, the cape. It's made from high-tech material that subtly shifts in color, almost as if it's alive. It's not just for show—it's lightweight, durable, and allows for enhanced movements while still adding a dramatic flair. You'll look like royalty."

"The cap?" Knox repeated, looking at the flowing garment that seemed to shimmer like liquid metal. He couldn't deny the dramatic effect. Okay, that's cool, but—how does it even stay on me?"

"Good question," Kaelina replied. "It attaches to you using a micro-adhesion tech built into the suit itself. No matter how much you move or fight, it stays in place."

"Nice," Knox said, impressed. "But wait... How is this suit going to let me absorb sunlight? My skin is covered—won't that block it?"

Kaelina's voice was patient, as though she'd already anticipated the question. "You're not wrong about the coverage. But the suit is designed to allow sunlight to be absorbed through microscopic nanobots in the fabric. These nanobots are equipped to channel the energy from the sun into your body, bypassing the fabric. You'll be able to absorb sunlight even while the suit is on. It's a perfect synergy between your Kryptonian physiology and the suit's technology."

"That's insane," Knox said, raising his eyebrows. "So I'm basically getting sunlight whenever I need it, no matter where I am? That's brilliant."

"Exactly," Kaelina confirmed. It also has a built-in power converter, so if you're in a dark area, it'll store solar energy for later use. Pretty efficient, huh?"

"Definitely." Knox grinned, feeling a rush of excitement. "What else does it do?"

"Well," Kaelina continued, "the suit enhances your physical abilities even further. It has built-in amplifiers for your strength, speed, and flexes. Plus, the chest emblem can serve as a command center for the suit. You can press it to make the suit retract, like Iron's Man's nanobot armor. It'll disappear instantly, leaving you free to move and hide if needed."

"That's... that's amazing," Knox said. He pressed the emblem on his t, and to his surprise, the suit dissolved into tiny particles, vanishing in a flash of light. When he pressed it again, the suit materialized around him just as quickly. "SO it's like...nano-tech?"

Kaelina's voice held a hint of amusement. "Exactly. And there's more. The suit also includes a diagnostic HUD that will give you real-time feedback on your health, energy levels, and environmental conditions. You'll know exactly how much power you have left in real-time."

"That's... actually perfect," Knox said, his kind spinning with possibilities. He could see the suit becoming a key part of his plan to rule, not just for its power, but for the practical benefits it offered.

Kaelina continued, her tone now slightly more playful "Oh, and one last thing—it's practically indestructible. Whether you're facing superhuman opponents or more conventional threats, the suit's armor will protect you."

Knox stood up straighter, feeling the weight of the suit, the power that it represented. He clenched his fists, feeling invincible in it.

"Well, Kaelina," Knox said with a grin, looking at himself in the reflection of a nearby window, "I guess you weren't kidding. This thing makes me feel like I could take on anyone."

Kaelina's voice was smug. "I told you. You're the ruler now. You've got the power, the look, and the tools. Time to use them."

Knox felt a surge of confidence, the weight of the suit giving him a sense of purpose, of destiny. The world was his to take, and now, with the suit, he was ready to make his move.
