The next morning
After helping Manisha freshen up, Chandni was free. She only had to do Manisha's work in the morning and evening, otherwise she was free the whole day. At this time she was helping Mouli in the kitchen.
Mouli saw her and said, "Chandni, do one thing. Arman sir is probably going to have some guests tonight. You go and ask him what the dinner menu is."
Chandni asked in surprise, "Shall I go?"
Mouli replied, "Yes, you go. Everyone else is busy with work. Preparations are going on, ask me quickly so that I can start work. Otherwise if it gets late, Arman sir will get very angry."
After hearing this, Chandni could not say anything further and quietly left the kitchen. Chandni was going towards Arman's office through the corridor.
As soon as she reached the door, she stopped and muttered to herself, "What should I do? I don't want to face Mr. Singhania. I don't know why, but I am afraid. I have to go, ask for the menu and then the work is done. That's it, Chandni, this is all I have to do, do it and leave."
Chandni knocked on the door. A voice came from inside, "Come in."
Chandni opened the door and came inside. Her eyes went straight to Armaan, who was sitting comfortably on his chair. He had a file in his hand and his whole attention was on that file. Perhaps Armaan did not even notice Chandni.
Chandni's eyes started moving around. It was a very lavish office room, with a brown and dark green theme. Chandni's eyes went to a wall, where there were many photos, which were of Armaan himself, of his achievements. Chandni was looking at those photos carefully.
Just then she heard a voice, "Back to Earth."
Chandni suddenly came to her senses and looked at Armaan, who was looking at her. She immediately bowed her head and said, "Sorry Sir."
Armaan closed his file and said, "Next time, when you come in front of Armaan Singhania, don't focus your attention anywhere else. When I am in front of you, your attention should be on me and your eyes should be on me."
Hearing him, Chandni slightly raised her eyes and started looking at Armaan quietly. Armaan himself was looking at her. When Chandni did not say anything, he took a deep breath and stood up.
Chandni suddenly said in a panic, "Your guests are coming tonight, so Mouli was asking about the menu."
Arman did not reply to her and he started walking towards Chandni. Seeing Armaan moving towards her, Chandni unknowingly started taking her steps back.
She sometimes looked at Armaan's face, sometimes at his feet. He was coming closer to her, and in a few moments Chandni collided with the wall.
She involuntarily said, "I am sorry."
Arman asked her, "Sorry for what?"
Chandni stuttered and said, " I... means I... don't know." Seeing her tone of speaking, a crooked smile appeared on Armaan's lips.
Armaan, smiling like that, slowly started leaning towards Chandni's face, while Chandni's eyes widened. She immediately put her hands on Armaan's chest. Her small hands could not stop Armaan and both of them knew this. Armaan was still leaning over her face.
Chandni said in a soft voice, "I just came to ask about the menu. You tell me that."
Armaan stopped suddenly, but by now he was very close to Chandni's face, so much so that they could feel each other's breath. Chandni closed her eyes slightly.
She could feel Armaan's warm breath on her cheek. One of Armaan's hands reached her waist. Chandni quickly opened her eyes and looked at Armaan nervously.
Armaan whispered, "Indian and Italian cuisine, made by you."
Chandni said confused, "What?"
Armaan replied to her, "Made by you, darling. I have told you the menu, now you will do the cooking."
Chandni quickly said, "But sir, I don't know Italian, I only know Indian..." Then Armaan silenced her by placing his finger on her lips. Chandni was looking at him with her big eyes.
Armaan whispered again, "Learn it, it will be good for you."
Saying ok, he removed his finger from Chandni's lips. Chandni cleared her throat, bowed her head silently and said in a low voice, "Ok sir." Chandni's such actions were satisfying Armaan.
Within two days, he had started getting interested in his mother's caretaker. This much interest was new for him and was quite interesting too. Now it was a matter of satisfaction that until he was not going to be satisfied, Chandni was not going to go away from his sight. Chandni did not know about this thing.
Chandni's condition was getting worse. She was afraid of Armaan, she couldn't understand why. But Armaan was such that she couldn't stand in front of him for long.
Just then Armaan snapped his fingers and said, "Get lost."
Chandni was waiting for just these words, she immediately ran away from there.
Armaan said in a low voice, "Who will save you, Chandni? No one will be able to save you from Armaan Singhania's trap."
On the other hand, Chandni went straight to her quarter. She put her hand on her head and said to herself, "This won't work. I have to finish my work as soon as possible and get out of here. I can't stay any longer. I can't stay at all. This is not my place. I have to go back from where I came. I have to get out by hook or by crook."
Just then she heard the ringtone of her phone. Chandni quickly moved towards her phone, which was lying on the bed. A call was coming from an unknown number and she had received a call from this unknown number yesterday as well. Chandni sat on the bed and picked up the call.
Someone from the other side asked, "Did you find the file?"
Chandni immediately replied, "I found the file last night. I will steal that file tonight."
Someone from the other side said, "That's good. Remember Chandni, Armaan Singhania should not have any doubt. His assistant has appointed you as a caretaker, looking at your image, so keep your image clean until you leave from there. And yes, message me after stealing the file."
Chandni asked, "How will I get out of here? And is he okay?"
The answer came from the other side, "He is absolutely fine. As for you getting out, then hurt yourself, submit an application, take leave, go out from there and disappear. That's all you have to do, but before that get the file tonight."
Chandni opened her mouth to say something, but then the call got disconnected. She looked at her phone and then mumbled, "It's a matter of a file... Chandni, it's just a matter of a file." While saying this, a tear fell from her eye.
Chandni wiped her tears and went out. She had to prepare dinner. After this, Chandni started preparing. She knew Indian, but not Italian, so she helped Molly in Italian, but she did most of the work.
At night, Chandni came back to the kitchen after freshening up and said to Mouli, "I have done everything. You have tasted it, right? Everything is perfect, right? I can guarantee Indian, but I have made Italian for the first time."
Mouli replied to her, "Relax, Chandni, I have tasted everything. It is very good. Now I understand why Armaan sir gave you this task. There is magic in your hands. Check Madam once, give her medicine, and if she needs to go to the washroom, help her."
Chandni replied to her, "Yes, I will come back soon." Saying this, she immediately left the kitchen. After checking Manisha, Chandni came back downstairs. By now, guests had arrived - there were two people, both men were of Armaan's age or maybe even older than him.
Chandni came to the kitchen and said to Mouli, "Should I serve the food?"
Mouli said, "I will do that. You don't have to do it." After saying this, Mouli signaled the other servants and they all started going out with the food. Chandni was in the kitchen and drinking water.
She was happy that she did not have to go out in front of them, especially in front of Armaan. But Chandni did not know that she could not remain happy for long.
Mouli came inside and told Chandni, "Armaan sir has called you out to serve."
Chandni asked in surprise, "Why? This is not my job, I am the caretaker."
Mouli quickly said, "Chandni, I don't know. Now that he has said so, I have to go. You can question him about this later, but go now."
Chandni left the kitchen taking baby steps. Reaching the dining table, she looked at everyone. Only three people were sitting there. Her eyes met Armaan's and she paused for a moment.
The way Armaan was looking at her, it seemed as if he was ready to hunt her. Chandni immediately lowered her eyes and started serving dinner to the three of them.
Just then one of those two men said, "What's the matter Mr. Singhania, I did not know that there would be such beautiful sights at your house."
Hearing that man, Chandni clutched her clothes tightly in her fist. She was expecting something like this to come up.
Arman, on the other hand, was still very calm, as if he had no problem and it didn't matter to him. Chandni went to that man. She was serving food in his plate when that man caught Chandni's hand.
Chandni looked at that man in surprise. Just then the other man sitting in front of her said, "Mr. Shetty, what are you doing?"
Mr. Shetty was about to say something when the sound of a glass breaking was heard. Everyone's eyes went towards Armaan, who had broken the glass he was holding. Small pieces of glass were embedded in his palm, which were clearly visible.
Chandni's condition was getting worse now. Mr. Shetty had still not left her hand. She was continuously trying to free her hand. The next moment, there was a sound of a gunshot.
Chandni looked at Mr. Shetty in surprise, who had a bullet wound on his chest. Then she looked at Armaan, who was looking very calmly at Mr. Shetty, who had died because the bullet had hit his heart directly.
Chandni's hand was now free. She was still looking at Mr. Shetty.
Just then Armaan shouted in a very cold voice, "Get lost!" Chandni immediately turned and looked at Armaan. Her eyes were filled with tears.
Armaan now looked at her and shouted again, "I said get lost!" Chandni immediately ran away from there towards her quarter.
After reaching inside the quarter, she closed the door and leaned against the door and started taking long deep breaths.
She said to herself, "Relax, Chandni, just relax. He will not do anything to me. It is not my fault. I did not ask anyone to hold my hand. He will not do anything to me." She felt like crying while saying this.
She was trying to console herself by wiping her tears when suddenly the door of her quarter opened. Chandni immediately turned and saw Armaan with her tearful eyes, who was standing at her door.
"Sir, you here?" Chandni asked and once again looked at Armaan's hand. The pieces of glass were still in his hand.
Armaan stepped towards her and said sarcastically, "What are you, caretaker?"
Chandni took a step back and said, "I am sorry, it is not my fault. He held my hand. I did not do anything. I was just serving food, that too on your order."
Arman asked her, "Are you blaming me? You want to find fault with me, caretaker?"
Chandni said in a panic, "No, I did not tell you... I am not saying that it is your fault..." She stopped after saying this.
Looking into Armaan's eyes, she could not say anything further. Then Armaan put his hand on her waist and pulled her towards him. Both of Chandni's hands came on his shoulders. She was looking at him with surprised eyes.
Armaan raised his other hand and moved Chandni's hair, which was hiding her neck from Armaan's eyes, back. Meanwhile, the small pieces of glass that were stuck in his hand touched Chandni's neck slightly and caused a scratch. A light sigh came out of Chandni's mouth and she immediately put her hand on her neck.
"You are so f***** up, caretaker. Now, who will save you?" Hearing this from Armaan, Chandni started looking at him in surprise.
