Chapter 1 - Chapter-01

"What's this?"

Sophia Eleanor frowned as she received the folder that Shaka Adijaya had just given her. The wedding had just finished two hours ago, and she had just finished her bath ritual. The stickiness of her body made Sophia uncomfortable. Not to mention that the dress she was wearing was so heavy, that Sophia had difficulty moving several times.

"Read it yourself!" said Shaka.

Sophia immediately shut up, and her hand slowly opened the green folder. Then, she read the written words one by one. Where Shaka wrote many things about their marriage that neither of them wanted.

Yes, Shaka and Sophia both didn't want this marriage to happen. It's just that Sophia's father, who couldn't accept the incident, made Shaka promise to marry Sophia when they grew up. Sophia also doesn't want to remember anyone, she doesn't know Shaka and not even marrying Shaka will not make her life miserable. Although Sophia's condition makes some men disgusted to see her, her legs are limping and even walking Sophia drags her left leg a little.

"There are so many rules," Sophia commented.

Shaka looked at Shopia for a moment, "Why, can't you accept?"

If you look at it, it only benefits Shaka. It was written that Sophia should not interfere in Shaka's personal affairs. The man also already had a girlfriend that he loved, and Shaka and his girlfriend would be getting married soon. Sophia must permit the first wife, Sophia is also not allowed to sleep in the same room with Shaka even though they are husband and wife. Remember, no one wanted this marriage, they got married because Sophia's father demanded it and made Shaka promise to marry a disabled woman.

Keep in mind, that Sophia was also physically handicapped because of Shaka. When Shaka was eighteen years old, Shaka asked one of his father's drivers to teach him to drive a car. Almost all of Shaka's friends could already drive a car, and some went to school with cars. Shaka, on the other hand, still used a driver. That's why, after school, Shaka had his father's driver teach him to drive a car. Unfortunately, the car Shaka was driving hit Sophia, who was delivering flowers to her customer. Shaka looked panicked, wanting to run away was also a loss because the accident was not far from Sophia's family's flower stall.

Sophia's father found out first, especially when he saw his daughter unconscious. There were several wounds on Sophia's body, and when she was taken to the hospital, the doctor told her that Sophia's legs were physically deformed. And now Shaka says he doesn't accept it? It's not that she didn't accept what Shaka gave, even Sophia didn't care, so what happened in the future Sophia didn't want to know anything about.

"I accept!" Sophia returned the folder to Shaka, to keep the document well. She would not forget what Shaka wrote. However, Sophia also had one request for Shaka, "I don't care anything about you, and please don't involve me in your problems. Remember one thing, never fall in love with each other. You forgot to write that in our agreement."

Shaka immediately shut up, who would want to fall in love with a disabled woman like Sophia? If it wasn't for that woman's father, the one in his room right now was not Sophia, the disabled woman who became his wife a few hours ago. But the woman that Shaka had loved until now.

For tonight, Shaka let Sophia sleep in the same room with him. Throwing down the pillow and blanket, Shaka asked Sophia to sleep on the sofa. The next day they would be moving out of this house, Shaka didn't like living with her very fussy father. Whatever Shaka does will always be wrong in her father's eyes, the only right thing is the disabled woman who is currently closing her eyes while sleeping on the sofa.

Shaka admits his father is also involved in this. Without negotiating anything Shaka's father agreed to the ridiculous deal Sophia's father gave him. Even during her sentence, Shaka could not leave the city or possibly the country. His father was afraid that Shaka would back down from his responsibilities. His father said that being a man should be very responsible. But the problem was not this kind of responsibility, Shaka's life was destroyed because of Sophia. Fortunately, no one knew about this marriage except for Shaka's extended family and Sophia. And now the man holds the status of a husband at the age of just eight years old. Meanwhile, Shaka had intended to get married when he was already three, but because of that woman, everything was ruined in a matter of minutes.

Laying down, Shaka decided to sleep. If he continued to think about that deformed woman, there would be no end to it. And Shaka would get annoyed by himself. At least by sleeping, Shaka could momentarily forget what was going on with his life.

Waking up once again, Sophia saw that Shaka was still asleep. She quickly cleaned herself up before she went downstairs to welcome her new family. Sophia also had to go to the flower shop that she had been working at since she was a child. Sophia shouldn't forget who she was just because she got married. She also couldn't be late to open the flower shop, as all her customers would run away after finding out that Sophia was closed.

Taking twenty minutes, Sophia finally finished her bath quickly. She was wearing a light blue dress that matched her clear skin perfectly. Descending the stairs slowly, Sophia occasionally tidied up her appearance. She only wore the clothes she could afford, as Sophia didn't bring many clothes to stay with her husband.

Arriving at the bottom, Sophia saw a lot of people who began to greet her. Her father-in-law smiled broadly when he saw her.

"Good morning." Sophia greeted politely.

"Good morning too, Pia. Did you sleep well?" chuckled Petra.

Sophia also chuckled at that, she also told Petra that she slept quite well tonight, to the point that Sophia didn't want to leave her bed because she was tired. It's just that Sophia has responsibilities with her stall, especially since there will be some customers coming to her flower stall later.

"It's good, the mattress is soft, unlike her mattress which is made of cotton. Besides being uncomfortable, cotton mattresses also cause back pain." Mia sneered. Her mother-in-law.

Sophia just bowed her head slowly, there was no cotton bed in her house. Despite being poor, Sophia could still sleep on a spongy mattress. Although it is not expensive or luxurious, it can also make Sophia friendly with her bed. Sophia does like to sleep, she can sleep one day and wake up the next morning. But that change might gradually disappear, after Sophia got married she would be busy taking care of herself and her husband. That is, if Shaka wants to be taken care of, if not, Sophia's life will certainly be happy inside and out.

Petra asked Sophia to sit down and join them for breakfast. Even though Mia showed her displeased face, out of respect for Petra, Sophia sat in front of Mia.

"Let's wait for Shaka first, I have something to say this morning," Petra said, getting serious.

"About what else? This marriage has also happened according to what you wanted. So what do you want now!" said Mia.

Petra didn't answer, her eyes continued to stare at the stairs, and hoped that Shaka would come down quickly. After about fifteen minutes, Shaka finally came down with a neat and fragrant appearance. Of course, that made Sophia smell herself which did not give off a scent. She forgot to bring the sacred object in her bag.

Shaka sat next to her mother and pecked her mother's cheek. Then she looked at Sophia who was sitting in front of her mother. The woman couldn't stop staring at Sophia who looked strange, even though last night she didn't see the woman smile at all in front of her. But this time...

"Don't you want to kiss your wife on the forehead, Shaka?" Petra said sarcastically. He only reminded her that if Shaka already had a wife, it was impossible if he had to continuously kiss his mother, while his wife was ignored.

Shaka chuckled, "No, Pi. I'm afraid Sophia is not used to being kissed and is uncomfortable. It's better to just kiss Mummy, which has been a habit for a long time."

Sophia didn't expect to be kissed by Shaka either. Sophia felt grateful for this, at least Shaka didn't touch her at all. What happens in the future, Sophia will maintain this until she dies.

"Is that so?" Shaka nodded, and he immediately gulped down the water beside him quickly. He had to go to the office immediately because there were clients from abroad who wanted to meet him. Shaka didn't want to disappoint the client just because he came late, "Wait a minute, Papi has a gift for you Shaka, and also Sophia." Petra said again.

"What?"

Petra took out a key from her pants pocket and pushed it to Shaka, "Papi bought this house long before you got married. It's a gift from Papi for your wedding, and I hope you can get along and get to know each other."

Shaka's eyes were wide, he thought his father was going to give him shares in the company with a large amount but instead, Shaka was surprised with the house key as a gift. That's a sign that Petra is evicting Shaka from his own home, right?"

"Is this Papi evicting me?"

"No, it's not. Who said that?" Petra replied, shaking her head.

"And this key?"

"It's just a house key, a gift from Papi for you. There's no way you want to live with Papi when you're already married. There can't be two queens in this house, not that Papi doesn't like it, but Papi just wants to protect Sophia's feelings." Petra explained at length.

Just say that Petra had kicked Shaka out of the house. No need to say that she gave the keys to the house to Sophia and herself. But... if Shaka leaves this house, wouldn't that be a good thing for Shaka? He can get out of this house with Sophia and can do what he likes, right?
