…
Why can't I speak?! I'm not able to speak! My mouth, my precious mouth, why do you not move?!
Ah, I'm probably not the only one like this seeing how there are tons of people around me without anybody making verbal noises.
Are we all just going to stand here? Does anybody have an idea as to what's happening right now?
"Gooooooooood morning Vietnam! I, the voice in everybody's heads, am your wonderful and benevolent creator! That's right! I am god!"
If you're god, then why do you not sound serious at all right now?! You sound like one of those super cheesy radio stars trying to be funny, except you aren't funny at all.
"Oh come on, stop looking at me with those faces. I'm telling the truth right now! As it stands, this amazing creation of mine (earth) has been dying ever since you humans started your shenanigans. Don't worry, I'm not mad! It's just that I doubt there will be even a single human alive in the next 50 years, so I am deciding to do something about it.
What, are you going to snap your fingers and turn everything back to how it should be?...
"What I have decided to do is let you all, the cause of earth's destruction, fix it!"
Son of a-
"I will send every one of the humans alive today, which are all conveniently standing right here, to another world. You guys can come back and forth essentially anytime you wish, and the world is big enough for you to bring plenty of things back to earth!
Therefore, I give you the task of saving earth!
Good luck, and goodbye!"
…
So god literally just told us to clean up the mess our grandparents made. And he also gave us a voice in our heads of which is not even paying me rent. He then left without giving us any details, talking for less than 30 seconds. God (heh), I already love this guy.
Let's just go ahead to Sangej. Literally nothing is waiting for me here, and I have no idea how to get back home. If I stay here I'll probably starve within the next few years, so sure why not.
New experiences are good experiences, right?
A white light envelopes my vision to the point I physically have to close my eyes, else I be blinded. I also notice I cannot hear the rustling of other people, or smell the grass below my feet. But why? Is this some kind of teleportation?!
The process is done shortly, and when the white light dims I am absolutely amazed.
I can hear, smell, and feel things around me again. I have never seen such tall trees! And what about the green grass? The beautiful stars in the night sky?! I haven't seen this stuff since I was a wee little girl! And what about the mountain?!
OH MY GOSH LOOK AT THE MOUNTAIN.
looking up at the night sky, I turn around to see all around me… but half of my vision is blocked by the largest mountain(s?) I couldn't imagine even in my dreams. Seriously, this thing is the size of earth itself. The clouds are already so unbelievably high, so how is it that this mountain still stretches higher than them?! How many Tens of thousands of meters, if not Hundreds of thousands of meters, tall is it?
Should I go up the mountain?...
No! Not yet! Survival comes before exploring and fantasy stories!
I need to get myself food as soon as possible before I starve, which I personally have become very good at while struggling all my life for food.
After teleporting I'm sitting at the trunk of an above-average-looking tree. It has a normal brown trunk and green leaves, and goes about 15 meters high. All the trees in this forest look roughly the same as this one, so It's safe to assume this is the norm.
Back on earth most trees were probably 5 meters high, and these are triple that on average…
This is fine! Everything is fine!
Before I get scared or nervous I should start foraging, and seeing how there are plenty of fruits on these trees it should go fine. All of the trees around me have very bright blue banana-shaped foods hanging from them, likely numbering in the thousands.
Alright, up we go!
As I start climbing the tree of which I was just sitting, I notice how tough the bark is, but also how easy it is to climb! As my grip on the bark feels very strong I start making progress at a rapid pace.
Once I get on the first easily reachable branch, I jump off it to quickly reach one of the fruits just above me but barely out of reach to grab it standing.
Flipping heck?!
It's so slippery! It's like I didn't even try to hold it! Ok, let's go for round two!
Huuuu. Round three!
Huuuuuuuuuu. ROUND FOUR!
---
First try, baby! It's totally not like I just tried for 2 hours straight! This isn't depressing at all! I'm so tired, and I don't even know if I can peel this stupid banana. My hands are covered in the stuff the banana excretes too, it's slippery and so disgusting!
This better have been worth it or I'll scream.
It took me so long to get this flipping banana because of how slippery both it and the stem are. When I tried to grab a banana while above it laying on a branch, instead of jumping up to grab one, I was still unable to grab it! The only reason I was able to get one was because I saw a bird on another tree doing it. I'm still sad at how simple the solution was… it just tackled the stem with its super sharp beak. The stem was ripped incredibly easily by the bird, and with the bird's accuracy tackling the tiny stem looked super easy.
Therefore the most logical thing for me to do is to get something sharp.
10 minutes later I find a sharp rock, and cut the stem for the prized banana!
I've only eaten one or two bananas in my lifetime, and that was when I was a kid. I remember the absolutely amazing mushyness of the banana! The wonderful brown/black color of the peel! Truly one of the best delights I've had in life.
Hopefully this matches that standard!
Before I think about eating this, I should find a spot to sit down. I'm already in the tree, so maybe somewhere higher up in the tree will work? I'm Incredibly tired from 2 hours of intense banana-grabbing, but I should still be able to get higher into the tree.
Putting the banana into my mouth, I climb higher into the tree slowly. It's easy to climb the tree by itself due to the abundance of easy hand-holds and foot-holds, but I'm not an expert rock climber and am incredibly tired. A single mess up can lead to falling onto a lower branch, or the ground…
Focus Nellie!
An intense 5 minutes of tree-climbing later I make it to the upper-middle area of the ginormous tree.
Sitting down with my back to the tree I take the banana out of my mouth.
The banana stopped secreting the slimy ooze, but I'm not sure how to peel it. The banana looks dim blue instead of a super bright blue after picking it, and feels cold to the touch.
CRACK
Using the rock to cut the banana in half, I accidentally hit the bark of the tree too…
Jeez, how tough is this bark?!
There's not even a scratch on it! And how are there so many cracks in my rock now?! It looks like it'll crumble in my hand any second now!
I'll have to get another one later, come onnnnn…
Now the grand reveal, can I actually eat the banana?!
I'm already drooling, I'm so hungry! It's in two halves, and the inside… looks exactly like the outside. It's just a plain, smooth texture colored blue.
So I guess I'll take a bite out of it?
NOM
…
Disappointing.
My first otherworldly meal, and it tastes just as good as the food I had normally on earth.
It has a mushy yet rough texture, and has an incredibly tangy taste. I mean almost only tangy, it has no other taste except for being incredibly tangy. The only other taste that's present in any way shape or form is the sweetness, but it's so small that almost nobody would be able to tell.
Gladly I'm used to super exaggerated tasting food since that's all there was on earth for the past many years.
That doesn't change how disappointed I am though!
I haven't had this large of food in a long time, wow. A single banana managed to fill me to the brim!
Resting on my tree branch, I decide to sleep after all of this work. I haven't moved this much in a long time, and I haven't slept for so long!
Assuming that both earth's and this world's times are the same the sun should be coming up in not even a few hours.
A successful first day, or night, if I do say so myself…
