The room was quiet except for the faint sound of waves crashing in the distance. Fara shifted in Ziggy's embrace, the tension between them finally melting, but it was replaced by an awkward awareness of their proximity.
"You know," Ziggy began, his lips brushing against her hair as he spoke, "this is not exactly how I pictured us spending time in Bora-Bora."
Fara tilted her head back, her brows lifting in mock disbelief. "Oh really? What did you imagine?"
He smirked, his hands resting lightly on her waist. "Something about you in a bikini and me heroically saving you from drowning."
She rolled her eyes, pulling back slightly but not completely breaking their embrace. "First of all, I can swim. Second of all, I didn't invite you here, Ziggy. You're technically the intruder."
Ziggy raised a brow, his grin widening. "Intruder? That's harsh. I prefer 'romantic gesture'."
