On Saturday, Kazuki and Shizuka arranged to have their first official date. They chose a cozy café near the station, both feeling excited but nervous as they walked in together. Kazuki could feel his heart pounding as they sat down, sharing shy glances and grins as they looked over the menu.
Shizuka giggled. "It feels different, doesn't it? Being here with you like this."
Kazuki nodded, feeling the same way. "Yeah, it really does. I never thought I'd get so lucky."
They spent hours chatting about everything and nothing, finding comfort in each other's company. When they finally left the café, Shizuka looked up at Kazuki, her eyes sparkling with happiness.
"Kazuki, this has been… perfect."
He reached out, brushing a strand of hair behind her ear. "I feel the same, Shizuka."
Just then, he felt an overwhelming urge to kiss her, but he held back, afraid of moving too quickly. Sensing his hesitation, Shizuka smiled, stepping a little closer.
"If you want to kiss me, Kazuki, you can," she murmured.
Kazuki felt his face flush, but he couldn't resist. Leaning down, he pressed a gentle kiss to her forehead, feeling her fingers squeeze his hand. It was a simple gesture, but it was enough to make them both feel closer than ever.
As they walked home hand-in-hand, Kazuki felt like he was on top of the world. Shizuka was his girlfriend, and they were only just beginning their journey together.
