Synopsis
After the new Emperor had been crowned, an imperial decree was passed upon the five major sects to eradicate any and all demonic sects in the country. A bounty system being put in place for known cultivators on the demonic path. Wang Yùbǎo, a high-ranking cultivator from the Divine Sun sect, was tasked by his sect leader to take up the bounty that was placed on an unnamed Demonic cultivator from the Blood Moon sect. After months of searching, Wang Yùbǎo found his target, but they had managed to slip away, leaving Wang Yùbǎo with a permanent scar to show for it. Years later, the Emperor was overthrown by a rebellion, the leader taking the role of emperor, in which he ruled peacefully. Wang Yùbǎo, having been kicked out of the sect for his earlier failure and had moved to the outskirts of the country to live out his life peacefully. However, after meeting his neighbor, Peng Yīnhuā, I doubt he could live peacefully now.
