Rose opened his eyes and found himself in a straw hut. He sat up, bewildered, and exclaimed, "I was in a five-star hotel, about to attend a business meeting with my partner. So why on earth am I here?" Glancing around, a sharp headache hit him, and suddenly the memories started flooding back.
He realized he had crossed dimensions and arrived on a continent known as the Blue Planet. Here, humans existed merely as livestock for a race of superior beings. These creatures—towering giants with supernatural powers—ranged in size from 10 to over 100 meters, and there was even a colossal titan standing a staggering 1,000 meters tall. Humans, like ants, lived in small, scattered communities, constantly hunted and farmed by these titans, the dominant species of this world.
Feeling a deep sadness, Rose wondered how long he could survive in such a cruel world. Just then, he sensed a message rising from the depths of his consciousness, or perhaps his very soul. During his journey to this world, he had passed through a mysterious realm and acquired two extraordinary powers.
The first was immortality; he would never die from old age, only from a fatal injury. The second was the ability to grant and reclaim powers. He could bestow any power he imagined—fire, lightning, or more—to another person. Upon that person's death, he would retrieve the power along with any progress or mastery they had achieved. However, the power each individual awakened would be unique to them, beyond even his control. Each person's abilities would depend entirely on their own potential, so Rose decided to carefully select only the most promising individuals to benefit from his gift.
Stepping out of the straw hut, Rose looked around and found himself among a tribe of about 200 people. Of these, only 30 to 40 were adult men; the rest were elderly, women, and children. Observing their conditions, he quickly understood the harsh reality of human life here. Large gatherings would attract the attention of the higher species and other dangerous creatures, so humans had resorted to living in small, scattered tribes, similar to the tribal societies of early Earth.
Determined to help the tribe survive, Rose decided to grant his powers to the 30 adult members. He knew this act would require a portion of his own essence, weakening him temporarily. Though he would eventually recover this energy as each person died, the immediate loss could still be harmful, even to an immortal. But he understood that it was a necessary risk for his future plans.
To safeguard himself, Rose decided to fake his death and enter a deep slumber. By the time he awoke—likely after 5 to 10 of them had passed—his essence would begin to replenish, allowing him to rise once more and witness the changes in the tribe with renewed strength.
