After I met with Kaene, I paid Phoebe a little visit to her suite.
I was able to meet with her family, including her father who seemed rather overprotective and judgmental.
Anyway, I made sure to give her a little heads-up about what was coming.
I knew the Delta and his accomplices were going to make a move soon.
And if they were half as smart as an average werewolf, they might go after the Alpha's Luna as well to avoid any loose ends.
I couldn't care less if Kaene died... That's the main part of my mission in this pack after all.
However, Phoebe couldn't die... Not yet, at least, and definitely not by the hands of those morons.
"I'm not done playing with that fierce little bird," I remarked from where I stood on my balcony, taking a sip from the drink in my hand.
