"Phoebe!" Negan yelled out, running toward me when he heard my scream.
But I was too stunned to even acknowledge his presence, all my attention placed on the thing dangling on the tree.
And by 'thing', I meant Brittany's dead body, hoisted up by a garden pipe tied around her neck and unto the tree branch as if she was a mere decoration.
"By the moon," Negan muttered when he stood beside me, his eyes staring at the dead body with all sorts of hidden emotions.
I glanced at him, my breathing increasing as I tried to process everything.
There wasn't much to process since it was quite clear that Brittany killed herself.
But why did I have a weird feeling about this? As if there was something more to the whole thing.
My stomach churned as I looked away from her dead body, placing my hand on my hand and hoping that I wouldn't puke.
