It had all happened so fast.
I... I didn't mean to slap Kaene in Elsa's presence. He was the one that kept dragging me around like a rag doll anyway!
The thunder rumbling outside didn't help matters as Kaene blurted. "We'll discuss this upstairs..."
Meanwhile, Elsa chimed in dramatically just then. "How dare you raise your hand on the Alpha? You should have your hand cut off! In fact, you–"
However, it seemed Kaene had finally gotten tired of her voice as he turned his gaze to her and snapped. "Elsa, that's enough! Leave."
She blinked at him with surprise, too stunned to move an inch.
But when Kaene kept his cold gaze on her, she seemed to have gotten the message as she scurried out of the living room, heading for the stairs to heaven knows where.
With her gone, I tried pulling away from Kaene's hold again but it was futile.
"Kaene, please." My eyes shook as hot tears pricked them.
