Eager to calm Catherine's anger, I stepped forward, making my way to her.

However, she raised her hand, a smile plastered on her face. "Don't. It's fine, it's not your fault."

A cold shiver ran down my spine as she stepped forward, her eyes on the scattered pieces of the necklace in my hands.
I stretched my hands forward, gazing at my feet like that would save me from what I felt was impending doom.
But it never came.
"In all seriousness, I don't blame you, Phoebe." She repeated after taking the pieces from my hands. But when I raised my head, I didn't see an ounce of kindness in her eyes.
