"Kaene?" I blurted out loud, sighing with relief when the scent became stronger.
Soon, he popped his head into the bathroom, a slight smirk curling up his lips.
"Aww, you're bathing without me?" He asked with a playful pout on his lips.
However, I rolled my eyes, settling back into the bathtub before I responded. "Are you guys done with your investigations already?"
He sighed heavily, stepping into the bathroom.
I saw the way his eyes lingered on the bathtub with an almost hungry look, but unfortunately, my body was hidden away from his view inside the water.
"We aren't done with investigations. The Gamma is sending emissaries to the families of the deceased. Security has also been increased in that garden since it seems to be the go-to place for the culprit to make his kills." Kaene explained calmly.
I stared at him, the tension in my gaze dissipating and my shoulders slouching as I began playing around with the water.
