Phoebe finally woke up.
I was relieved but made sure not to show it, keeping my distance from her despite the little discovery I made.
The mate bond and our proximity allowed her wolf to heal faster from the shock of the coma... I was sure of it.
The doctor had hinted at something like that but now I had the evidence to prove his theory.
The next day after Phoebe woke from her coma, I sat in my office within the mansion alone, drumming my fingers on the armrest of my chair.
"Is this a sign?" I muttered, bringing my gaze to the ceiling, hoping the Moon goddess would give me a response of sorts.
I got nothing.
I sighed, rubbing my forehead before bringing my gaze back to the ledgers from my company and going through them to make sure there weren't any errors.
Just then, a knock came on the door, forcing me to raise my head briefly. "Come in."
