Chapter 1 - My Pre-Algebra Teacher Is A Veg Vampire?

"Sit down Percy, you're already on probation. If you make more trouble, you'll be expelled or worse" I reminded my best friend Percy.

Liam wondered how he had ended up like this.

'I knew I shouldn't have done that ritual. Why was I so obsessed with transmigration. Look where I ended up because of it' Liam sighed thinking about the time when he had done the luck enhancement ritual from lord of the mysteries.

'Who knew that when I slept after that ritual, I would be transmigrated here and into the body of a seven year old no less. Granted I was thirteen at that time'

It had been around 6 years since he came here. This body had sandy brown hair and light blue eyes reminiscent of the ocean. He also had a scent of coral and sea sand always around him.

But when Liam transmigrated the body went through some changes to say the least. His sandy brown hair was converted to jet black hair and his blue eyes just remained the same except it became much darker.

It was a hard thing to explain to the orphanage director. But, Liam managed

The worst thing about being transmigrated here was he turned out to have ADHD and dyslexia and his shit luck was also to blame.

Liam then turned to the cause of all troubles.

'Nancy Bobofit, a kleptomaniac of sort. She always hated Grover and liked teasing him maybe he was an easy target because he was partly disabled.'

"Stop it, it's annoying you snort nosed kleptomaniac ahh girl"

Her face instantly turned red. She gritted her teeth and gave a stink-eye.

"Wait till we get off freak" She mumbled under her breath.

'Ahh, yes freak that title reminds me of something. Ever since I was little, I've been getting into accidents; a lot of accidents"

Turning his head out of the window, Liam smiled at the accidents he caused. It wasn't intentional at all, it just happened.

For example, one time when he leaned against a tree, the tree came crumbling down almost crushing the entire class. The result of his actions - Expulsion

Another time, in a water park when he was going through the tube his hand accidentally smacked the side of the tube. Causing it break, making the water fill the entirety of the tube, when the next kids went through it she almost drowned. The result - Expulsion

He was pretty sure the luck enhancement ritual actually took his luck and gave it to someone else. Because he couldn't be this unlucky.

Happy accidents like this made him change school's frequently. Then three years ago, he met his best friend someone exactly like him, who caused trouble wherever he went. Percy Jackson

A few months after they met, Percy had to transfer out because of an accident he made. Liam joined him a few weeks later, but to his surprise the school he transferred to had Percy in it.

Soon, the same thing continued; he got expelled the next school he joined had Percy in it. Sometimes it was Percy who joined his school. But still, happy accidents like this made their bond of friendship tighter than ever.

Then a year ago, he was adopted by Percy's mom - Sally Jackson. She was sweet, very sweet, an angel in human clothing you could say.

The only person he hated was his step-father or adopted step-father. Anyways, he made Percy's and his life a living hell. He always treated Sally poorly and was a shit person in general.

Sometimes Liam questioned why she was with a person like him. She deserved better, something that Gave Ugliano couldn't provide.

Liam's thoughts were interrupted by the brakes being hit. They had arrived at the museum.

Mr. Brunner led the tour, guiding them throughout the large gallery, past marble statues and glass cases full of old pottery.

He gathered the class around a four metre-tall stone column with a big sphinx on the top. Percy seemed keen on listening to his lectures but the noises around him seemed to distract him.

Liam on the other hand was doing well. Even though he had dyslexia and ADHD, he still lived 13 years and had only few problems. But, Percy did not have his experience and seemed to doing pretty bad.

Liam out of the corner of his eye could see Mrs. Dodds give him a evil eye. Mrs. Dodds was this math teacher from Georgia who still hadn't let go of her emo phase.

From her first day Mrs. Dodds loved Nancy Bobofit and figured him and Percy were the devil's spawn.

She'd give them odd punishments like erasing answers out of an old maths book or make them do the entire maths workbook and erasing all the answers afterward.

Mrs. Dodds walked so upright, Liam thought she had a stick up her ass.

Percy once thought Mrs. Dodds wasn't human at all. Liam just agreed with him but Grover had a weird reaction he turned to them seriously and said

"You're absolutely right"

Mr. Brunner kept talking about Greek Mythology when Percy finally snapped. He couldn't tolerate the voices aby longer.

"Would you shut up" It probably came out louder than he meant to.

Liam didn't pay much attention to what Mr. Brunner made him say as he was focused on Mrs. Dodds eyes, he was a hundred percent sure it turned yellow for a second.

Mr. Brunner caught me out of focus and just shook his head.

"Well than it's time for lunch. Mrs. Dodds would you lead us back outside."

The class started drifting off. Grover, Percy and I were about to follow when Mr. Brunner said

"Mr. Jackson's"

Percy and I told Grover to keep going before turning around to face Mr. Brunner

"Sir?" We both asked in harmony.

Mr. Brunner had this intense look that made you feel that he had lived through a thousand life times and had encountered everything one might do.

"You both must learn the answer to my question" Mr. Brunner told us

Liam tilted his head unaware of what question he was talking about.

"About the Titans?" Percy asked in a confused tone.

"About real life and how your studies apply to it"

"Oh" we replied at the same time.

"What you learn from me is vitally important. I expect you to treat it such. I will only accept the best from both of you, Percy Jackson and Liam Holmes."

Percy seemed pissed at his words where I just shrugged it off. I only had one plan, since I transmigrated into a parallel world it must be similar to ours.

'I would use my future knowledge to get rich and help Percy and Mrs. Sally divorce Gabe'

....

The class gathered on the front steps of the museum where we could watch the foot traffic on Fifth Avenue. Overhead was a massive storm brewing with clouds blacker than he had ever seen.

Nobody else other than Percy and I seemed to notice turning towards Percy

"You notice that too right" Liam asked curiously

"Yeah" he nodded his head.

Grover, Percy and I sat on the edge of the fountain away from others.

"Detention?" He asked

Percy and I shook our heads

"Nah, I wish he'day off me sometimes. I'm not a genius" Percy complained.

Grover didn't say anything for a while before his stomach growled. He embarrassingly asked

"Can I have you're apples?"

Percy and I didn't have much of an appetite so we let him have it.

Mr. Brunner parked his wheelchair at the base of the handicapped ramp. He hate celery while he read a newspaper novel.

Liam was about to finish eating when Nancy Bobofit appeared in front of us with her ugly friends. She dumped her half eaten lunch in Grovers lap. Some of it spilling onto me.

"Oops" she grinned with her crooked, yellow teeth.

Liam tried to stay cool but my mind just went blank. Nancy was dragged into the water by something.

Liam clenched his hand trying to control his anger but it exploded like water breaking out from a dam.

The water from the fountain started increasing. The water increased so much that Nancy Bobofit started drowning.

I was woken up from my stupor by Grover who gave me a slight nudge

"Liam you okay?"

Shaking my drowsiness, I nodded

"Yeah I'm fine"

Nancy then started screaming, "Percy pushed me and Liam held my head. They were trying to kill me"

Mrs. Dodds materialized next to us.

Some of the kids were whispering "Did you see -"

"- the water -"

"- like it grabbed her -"

"- and started increasing -"

Liam didn't know what they were talking about but he knew he was in trouble.

Mrs. Dodds turned to us after comforting Nancy her eyes had triumphant fire in them.

"Now honey come with me"

Grover yelped he tried his best to defend us

"It was me, I pushed her and held her head under the water"

Percy and I were stunned. Both of them couldn't believe he was trying to cover for them.

Mrs. Dodds glared at him

"I don't think so, Mr. Underwood"

"Bu-"

"You - will - stay - here"

Grover looked at us desperately.

Percy smiled

" It's okay man, thanks for trying"

Liam had a subtle smile

"Yeah, it was a good try. But, you don't need to cover for us"

Liam turned to Percy and jokingly said

"It seems we're going to die"

Percy cracked up

"Yeah, I agree"
