Running through the halls, Haru quickly arrived at the hall that led to the outside where he had died.
Slowing down his steps, Haru inched closer and closer to the exit.
Looking out of the window, he saw him.
Komiya Saizou.
He was currently holding Tsukune by the hem of his shirt just like he had done last time.
Seeing this, Haru felt rage further bubble up in his gut.
Walking stealthily, he arrived just behind Saizou and then jumped and grabbed his neck.
Using his own weight, Haru pulled the tall guy down onto the ground.
*Slam*
"This fucker!" Saizou screamed as he raised his eyes to look at Haru who was now on top of him.
The very next moment, however, his sight went black.
Haru had used both the monkey wrench and the screwdriver that had been drenched in chemicals and pierced Saizou's eyes with them.
Blood splattered out immediately, Haru had permanently blinded the man.
"Aaghhh!!" Saziou screamed as he wrestled on the ground from the immense pain.
The high alcoholic content of the chemical cleaning solution wasn't doing anything to numb his pain, it merely enhanced it by tens of times.
Haru didn't let this chance slip past him however as he pulled the screwdriver out and started slamming it into Saizou's throat.
Over and over.
Again and again, Haru raised the screwdriver and slammed it into Saizou's throat.
The screams of the student had died down a while ago however Haru didn't stop.
It wasn't because of his rage, it was because of fear, Haru was afraid that the man would suddenly rise up and kill him, simply the thought of it terrified Haru completely.
And so he continued piercing Saizous's neck, causing a bloody mess around him.
It was only when he heard the scream of his brother did Haru stopped.
Raising his head, Haru saw Tsukune, his own brother looking at him as if he was some kind of monster.
A monster just like Saizou, a monster that was beyond human.
'I killed someone' Haru thought as he felt bile rise up in his throat, however, he stopped it.
He couldn't appear weak here, not when the entire school was watching now.
Haru had these thoughts as he turned his head and saw the many students who had gathered to watch the show in front of them.
"What are you looking at? Do you want to end up like him?" Haru shouted, causing the watching students to quickly scutter back as they ran in fear.
Tsukune was kneeling on the floor, bile dripping out of his mouth as he closed his eyes and cried.
'Get up, I have to get up.' Haru thought to himself as he mechanically raised himself and walked to his brother.
"Come on Tsukune, we have to get going," Haru said, his voice soft but clearly lacking any emotions.
Moka was sitting next to Tsukune and practically cuddling him as she whispered sweet nothings into his ears.
It was clear however that the sight of Haru had shaken her up tremendously as well.
"Get up Tsukune," Haru said once more, but the boy didn't respond.
Feeling anger welling up inside of him once more, Haru took Tsukune's arm and tried lifting him up forcefully only to be stopped by Moka.
"He needs some time, H..Haru" Moka said as she stuttered Haru's name, not even looking him in the eyes.
Haru felt like he was shot through the chest with an arrow.
Someone, a random nobody was saying that to him for his brother, someone that he had just killed for and his damned brother was saying nothing.
Indignation welled up inside of him however Haru, didn't blow up, he was too drained for that so he merely turned around and walked inside the school once more.
His green school uniform was almost completely tainted crimson from the large amounts of blood.
It was at that moment as he was walking through the halls that someone appeared before him.
It was an average looking black haired woman.
"The Principal wishes to meet you. Come with me."
Nodding his head, Haru followed the woman, his thoughts still completely in disarray.
After a few moments of walking in silence and climbing a couple of stairs, the two arrived in front of a large wooden door.
Opening the door, Haru was led into the principal's office.
Behind a large desk, a man wearing white priest clothes stood.
"Leave us," The man said as he turned to the woman who nodded and excused herself from the room.
Haru didn't say a word, simply looking at the man blankly.
"Aono Haru, the very first day and you've already murdered someone. Do you have anything to say in your own defense?" The man asked Haru who finally gained a little clarity in his gaze.
"I was protecting my brother, he started the fight first," Haru replied, his words cold and detached of emotion.
"Protecting your brother? From what I saw, he was merely holding him up, he didn't hit him once."
"Sure, but can you say with certainty that my brother wasn't in danger? Can you truly say that with a straight face?" Haru questioned.
"No, I cannot, however, that still doesn't justify your actions, I will not expel you however as a sign of understanding your point of view." The principal said as he crossed his arms.
"What then? Am I getting Executed instead? " Haru questioned as he looked at the man, his words finally showed emotion, they were dripping in venom.
This caused the principal to chuckle before he shook his head.
"No, I will only be making you my assistant, you will have work even past normal study hours in the school for the rest of your time here at Yokai Academy."
Hearing the man's words, Haru was shocked, even in his current state where his emotions were almost completely dulled.
'I just killed a guy and he's making me his assistant as punishment?'
