"You are the killer, motherfucker! How dare you say that I killed your Mage when it's your group that attacked us in the first place?"
"Fuck you!"
The Level 72 Warrior growled, pushing back the Level 73 Warrior. But the latter didn't give up.
"You are going to pay for this."
"I won't let you kill me."
The Level 72 Warrior raised his sword, preparing to make the final blow. But his opponent wasn't backing down.
Just as they were about to clash, the Level 73 Warrior disappeared into thin air. His friend looked confused at his disappearance, but he had no time to think because his enemy pushed forward.
"You are a fool."
The Level 72 Warrior hissed, swinging his sword.
"It's your fault. You were the one who attacked us."
The Level 73 Warrior growled, his sword clashing against the other's.
"Arkli, we should move back! This is our chance." Willy yelled, and his partner nodded.
"Sword Smash!" The Level 72 Warrior used a skill to stun the other, giving Willy and himself a chance to escape.
The other group Mages, however, wasn't going to let them.
"Fireball!"
The Mage swung his staff, and a ball of fire came out of it. It hit Willy, who was already injured and was running away, knocking him back. He landed on the ground, his body covered in flames.
"Willy!"
The Level 72 Warrior cried out, his voice laced with anger.
At that moment, the Level 73 Warrior had recovered and gave a chase, his footsteps loud and fast.
"Die!"
He raised his sword, but he suddenly disappeared again, just like his friend.
The Level 72 Warrior stopped in his tracks, his eyes wide. Then, a smile graced his lips as he laughed. There were only two low-level Mages left without any vanguard. He had won the battle.
"Hahaha! Die die die! How dare you chase me? It wasn't my fault. It wasn't my fault that Jason died! That motherfucker hit my girlfriend and insulted her. And he almost raped her. So, it was justice that I killed him. But no one believes me. It's unfair."
Arkli yelled, his words full of desperation and anger. The two Mages got scared. They didn't know what happened, but their two vanguards had disappeared.
"Where are they?" One of them asked.
"They are dead. Your vanguards are dead."
Arkli answered, his sword gleaming. He walked toward them with a crazy smile, ignoring even Willy who wreathed on the ground in pain.
"No, you're lying! They can't die. They are my friends. Where are they?"
The Mage shouted, his voice filled with panic.
"Scarlet had teleported them with a trap. They are dead! Don't hope that they will come and save you. It's over."
He cackled. He swung his sword, aiming for the Mages. They panicked and tried to run, but they wouldn't be on time.
Just as he was about to reach them, a shadow appeared. It was a red-haired woman holding a long spear. Somehow, her smile looked worse and more twisted than his.
"Took you long enough to confess! Now, let me kill you!"
"What the fuck?" Arkli's eyes widened. His sword was knocked away, and the woman swung her spear, stabbing his shoulder.
He cried out in pain and was thrown to the ground.
"Hahaha! Is it painful? Are you gonna cry? Haha! I like it. You're so weak. So weak, yet you dare to kill a person? I can't forgive you. No one will. That's why, let me kill you to help you atone for your sin!"
The woman cackled, her voice loud and cold. She was beautiful, but her lips were curled into a twisted smile.
The Mage watched in shock as the woman raised her spear, her eyes gleaming.
"No! Please don't kill me!" Arkli cried, his body trembling.
But his pleas fell on deaf ears. The woman stabbed him with her spear, blood spurting out of his body. She swung her weapon, slicing him into pieces.
Blood covered her face, but she didn't care.
Arkli's HP kept dropping, and eventually, his life faded away. His body lifeless, and his inventory was spilled out on the ground.
"It's over. The killer is dead." She muttered, her eyes cold. She took his sword and walked toward Willy, who was still lying on the ground.
"Now, it's your turn."
She raised her spear, aiming for his head.
"No! Please, please, don't kill me."
Willy pleaded, his voice trembling.
"Please. It wasn't my fault. I was just getting along with him because I was paid! I-I will tell you everything. Just please, spare me."
"Oh, really? That's good."
Schnee grinned, her eyes gleaming. She looked like a personification of death.
"What do you think, Mages? You want to take him to interrogate him or should I kill this one?" She looked back at two trembling Mages.
From their getup and the logo on their robes, Schnee knew they were from one of the large guilds called Silver Wolf.
They looked at each other, unsure, before nodding.
"P-Please let us interrogate him." One of them said, "A-And, can you help me find our companion? Please, they suddenly disappeared in front of us. The man... That killer said their companion teleported our vanguards, but... Can you help us?"
The Mages' expression fell. They wanted to get angry at her, telling her that she was a murderer too because she just killed someone, but they were scared. She was too scary.
"Okay, you guys take care of the rest. I'm going to leave. I will just take the dropped Gold coins and a few items from that pile, okay? You take the rest as evidence."
She shrugged, turning her attention back to Willy.
"As for you, cooperate and be a good boy or I will come to you at night and make you cry until you lose all your sanity, okay?"
"O-Okay."
Willy nodded, his eyes watery. He was trembling in fear.
Schnee sighed, shaking her head. The Mages from Silver Wolf asked her for help, but that wasn't needed.
'Hunter is headed to where the Mage is, after all. He should be able to handle it alone.'
A smile graced her lips as she thought of him.
She was originally a solo player, and she didn't like getting involved with anyone. However, she met Hunter, who was also a solo player. He was strong and smart, and he wasn't a bother. Not only that, he was able to make a decision without his heart bothering him.
That was why she took a liking to him. She didn't have many people she could rely on, and she liked him more than others.
Therefore, even though he was just a companion, she enjoyed their time together.
And, earlier, she just got confirmation about his resolve. He wasn't hesitant to kill. He could do it without remorse, which was perfect for her.
Schnee's expression was twisted as she looked at the sky.
"Ah, Hunter~ You're such a good person, aren't you?"
She licked her lips and giggled.
"Good people can do bad things, right? That's what I always say."
Skipping through the forest, she used the party member tracking function to find Hunter.
"I wonder if he finished his job."
