Nyx ran her fingers through her hair as she took a deep breath, the power flowing through her body made her head hurt. She took a deep breath as she decided not to let herself get consumed by such power, she loved Lucien and that was all that matters.
"Let me explain, Nyx" Lucien said, he appeared less conflicted than she was. Nyx turned to look at him, her eyes cold and unwelcoming and she just had a small smile on her face.
"I don't need it, you can go back to your mistress" With that she walked away, from behind, she looked less conflicted but deep inside a small storm was brewing within her.
Lucien stared at her back, his eyes dark and collected. He knew things wouldn't end well with her but he didn't want her to remain like this, the way she stared at him tugged something within his heart. She looked like an empty shell who had no emotions and ideally it spooked him out but he wasn't going to try and change her mind.
