"Time to gamble…"
Surpressimg his uncontrollable fear, Komo inhaled deeply (got so nauseous because what kind of place he was in right now) and gritted his teeth as he jumped out of the nose.
Passing through the thick hard dirty fur, he instantly activated his new skill.
At that moment, something amazing unfolded.
The 46cm Komo growing bigger at speed visible to naked eyes, and just a few seconds later, a Komodo almost 50 meters long appeared underground. It was too sudden and basically out of nowhere, causing chains reaction to the sleeping underground denizens.
And Komo didn't bother to enjoy that fame as he doing his best to swam upward.
He passed small, medium and even those adult Kalasir. Feeling how many of those small creatures worth of big biomass, Komo was really tempted. But with his now gigantic maw, he'll only ate sands if he tried.
Before long, the sands surface exploded and Komo emerged.
A Komodo 50 meters long was not a really surprising sight, after all, that earlier creature was still slightly bigger than him. But the fact that he has such dazzling and cool blood red armor, it was too conspicuous under the burning sunlight.
Not to mention…
"ROARRRR!"
Filled with joy, fear, anger and relief, Komo roared as hard as he could towards the heaven.
But he couldn't celebrate too long.
"SHIT!"
A moment later, an even gigantic explosion broke the sands surface as a gigantic, something like monstrous jawed black worm appeared. It was big, truly big. It's diameter was at least 100 meters wide, not to mention it's length.
It looking around with eyeballs around it's body but couldn't find the source of earlier sounds.
There's only few underground creatures shivering around that got dragged along when it jumped out earlier. It casually bite two of them.
A few minutes later, it finally burrowed back, causing almost the entire desert to trembled.
He didn't notice that few meters behind, just behind a tusk like rock, a Komodo as small as kitten was hiding while covering his mouth. Tears rolling down his armored face as he feel like shooting his mouth.
"Bad mouth, bad mouth, why'd you scream like that?!"
He keep in his position until everything calmed down.
Only then did he gasped hurriedly.
"Ha.. hah… hahahaha! I'm alive! I'm so alive damnit!"
His joy couldn't be more apparent.
"Ahh, I really want some drink right now!"
Now that he mentioned it, Komo hadn't gulped any form of liquid since he reborn. All he had was after all, another creatures as his only source of nutrients.
Smiling, Komo use his tail to pat the sand and something bite onto it.
He pulled it up and grabbed the small Kalasir.
"Hey little one, did you see that? I'm survived! I'm actually managed to save my ass from that gigantic mothertrucker and look at me, happy and dandy!"
Laughing, he stuffed that bug into his mouth.
Still completely woundless, Komo climbed up his nest.
