In a crowd plaza full of people a boy can be seen at the side of a wall of an abandoned building begging for spare change he looks like someone who has been starve for days his body is thin and his clothes looks dirty and people have been avoiding him ever since he got there.

"Do you have any spare change?"

The boy begged for spare change but the people kept avoiding him as they saw him as a weird child.people have been talking bad about him every day but he didn't seem to care and continued to beg for spare change.

"Hey didn't you see that child over there he looks weird right I'm even having chills all over my body just by looking at him he got cold eyes!"

"Yeah there's even a rumors that his parents abandoned him because he can't satisfy his parents expectations!"

"Wait really what a poor child!"

As the townspeople talk about him an old man walks towards him wearing a black cape with a sword hanging in his waist with a well trained physique after getting near to the boy he lowered his body and asks for his name.

"Hey little girl what's your name?"

The boy looked with void eyes and blank expressions at the old man and answered.

"Ingrid and I'm a boy"

The old man looked at him with pity and asked another question.

"Sorry Boy do you have any surname and how old are you?"

'he's a boy?'

"I don't have a surname to use anymore as I'm not part of the family and I'm 14"

The old is confused as Ingrid said he's not part of the family.

'this little boy is part of a noble family?What is the reason he was kicked out of the family? And his name is interesting he really looks like a woman and what's up with this kid's face he got cold eyes? The expression in his face is really scary! And his eyes there's something hiding within him something terrifying that shouldn't exist but it can't seem to escape from this boy soul!'

"Ahh is that so this might not be much but this should be able to support you within the month and you should be able to buy a decent sword or a blade with that!"

Before the old man leaves he gives a manual that seems to be created by him as it looks like a newly written manual to Ingrid.

"Learn everything written in that and be strong enough to go to the mercenary guild and get registered and earn enough money to support yourself and goodbye I'm sure we'll see each other again!"

Ingrid looks at the manual and reads the text at the cover.

"Basic sword techniques and foot work?"

was the old man trying to learn how to wield a sword and fight for myself most of what he says is I don't understand much but why is his body crumbling?'

After receiving the manual he immediately started reading it to learn the context Inside the manual as he read the manual he quickly understood what was written inside he kept flipping the page in seconds as if he was just playing with the manual and did not properly read it.

"so the basics of the swordsmanship is maintaining composure, slashing, stabbing and maintaining a good posture it's quite easy but why did he leave a piece of paper at the end of the manual?"

After seeing the piece of paper Ingrid pick it up and read it.

'go to the imperial academy after a year

I see that you got a lot of potential and making it on top I give you two coins the other one with the dragon carving show it to the principal and he'll let you in and make sure to practice smiling once in a while!'

After reading it Ingrid has not much reaction as he didn't feel but understand the message that old man write in the paper.

"Academy? Waste of time I rather train and learn everything in the manual completely

After reading the book Ingrid pick up a long stick and go to open area near to the forest where he practice what's written in the manual over and over again night after night until one week later he mastered the basics of swordsmanship and foot work.

"I'm finally able to get it right it's really good with this I'm be able to become stronger and complete what I desire!"

After the training Ingrid rest at the nearby tree and sat down there while looking at the sky

'Ingrid'

Ingrid is confused as he suddenly hear a voice out of nowhere it feels like it was directly came from his head

"Wha.....what? Who's there!"

'you don't need to know I am you just need to focus on your training be strong enough that no one can challenge you!"

"Me be strong? for what reason are you ordering me!....answer me!"

'We got the same goal be strong and we'll fulfil our goal... And protect what's ours'

"What hey don't leave you.... Didn't even give me your name!"

'what a man we have the same goal what is he trying to say...what ever I'll just go to the armory shop tomorrow!'

After waking up Ingrid head to the armory shop to take a look on what kind of weapon will he chose after sometime of taking a look Ingrid can't seem to choose as he don't know much about weapon but suddenly a man with a well build body that seem to come through a lot of experience in forging weapon come near him and introduce him self as the owner of the shop and ask if he can help.

"im John the owner of this shop little girl what can I help you?"

"I'm a man not a woman"

John seems to be confused as he see Ingrid as a girl not a boy because of his feminine figure.

"Ohh sorry I didn't mean to offend you...but what can I do to help you because I see that you seem to be struggling to choose a weapon that suits you!"

"Yeah I can't find something that can suit me this long sword are too heavy for the current me and a dagger is too short for me to use"

After Ingrid saying his problem at chosing a weapon the shop owner John think for a while and recommend something that will suit Ingrid.

"Ummmm... How about this? It's a katana the design and the structure of this sword came from another world as the one of the heroes request for those type of sword as he's not comfortable with the traditional long sword and dagger!"

After introducing it The shop owner hand it over to Ingrid to test it if it suit his taste.

"It's light and very comfortable you say it came from another world huh they are good"

"Yeah but there are only few who use it as it's much harder to use this compare to the other weapon as it rely more on slashing than both stabbing and slashing"

"This I'll take this how much?"

After purchasing the weapon Ingrid immediately head out the store and go to the mercenary guild to get registered as a mercenary.
