As soon as the voice stopped speaking, a large button appeared before Mori on the computer screen. Some instructions were written under the button. According to those instructions, she just needed to touch the button and she would be able to do the random draw for her race.
There was a text box below the short instructions and she was told to click on it to know more about races of the world where she was going to be transmigrated into. Some people who liked gambling might be interested in doing the draw blindly but Mori was not interested in that and decided to thoroughly read the extra information. So she clicked on the box.
But unfortunately Mori was not able to get much information from there. She was only told about a few examples of what were considered good draws and what were considered to be bad draws. It was not a lot of information but knowing something was at least better than knowing nothing.
In the example for bad draws, the races of goblins, spidira and Gonbfufu were mentioned. Mori knew about goblins but she was not sure about the other two races. So she checked all of them out.
According to this computer, the goblins were one of the weakest among many many races that inhabited this world. An individual goblin was extremely weak and could be killed very easily by other races. So the average lifespan of a goblin was very short.
As the goblins reproduced very first, the goblin race itself never faced the crisis of going extinct. But for individual goblins, the risk of dying early was extremely high. The total lifespan of a goblin was about 20 years but most of the goblins died within the first 3 months of their birth. That was why pulling the goblin race in this draw would be a bad result.
The same way Spidira was also a bad race. This was a race of spiders like monsters where a lot of babies would come out at the same time and they would have no food to eat. So those babies soon had to fight and eat each other to survive. For this reason almost 99 percent of the Spidiras died on the very first day when they were born.
The Gonbfufu was a race of small fishes. These fishes were extremely tasty so many other larger fishes liked to hunt and eat them. A Gonbfufu could only be born in an area which had a lot of algae. And those areas most of the time had other big fishes too. So most of the Gonbfufu's were almost immediately hunted and eaten as soon as they were born.
There was one special thing about this race though. If a Gonbfufu was able to survive for 5 hours, then it will immediately evolve into a powerful fish which would be useful for its safety. So even though most the Gonbfufus were unable to get this evolution, those who were able to would have a good future ahead. That was the balance of the nature.
So these were the bad races that Mori could be getting. There were many more such races and these were just a few examples.
...
After checking out the bad draws next she checked the good ones. Just like the bad ones, among the examples of good races, three names were mentioned. They were Dragon, Spirit and Pastonua. Mori obviously knew about dragons and spirits and after reading about them, she found out that they were quite similar to the idea of a dragon or a spirit that she had in her mind. But she had no idea what this Pastonua race was.
According to the computer, Pastonua were a powerful demon race that were able to manipulate space and time. It was not like they were the only race that could do such a thing, but their affinity for these two laws were exceptional. So far this reason, the Pastonuas had managed to become one of the strongest races of this world where Mori was going to be reincarnated into.
...
After knowing a little bit about what kind of fate might be waiting for her, Mori became a bit nervous and a little bit excited at the same time. It would be terrible if she became a goblin or a spider. But if the fortune was with her and she ended up becoming a dragon or space-time controlling race then that would be amazing.
So even though she was a bit nervous about all this, she was also anticipating what kind of race would she become. For that reason, she did not waste anymore time, mustered up her courage and pressed the button to finally do the random draw.
...
After the names of many races flashed across the screen, finally the name of only one single race remained and that racial name was "Immortal Witch". It was shining with a golden glow so Mori assumed that it must be a good result. The voice then spoke up once again to inform Mori about her results.
"Congratulations, dear lost souls for getting an extremely rare result. The Immortal Witch is the highest class of a witch with an unending lifespan, best affinity to all kinds of magic, a vast amount of mana and very high intelligence. They are one of the absolute top tier races of this world, equivalent to Seraphims, True Devils and such."
Hearing that her pull was that good, Mori became insanely happy. She was really very anxious about this pull as it was going to affect her whole life. So getting a good result here was extremely satisfying. As Mori was gloating immensely in her heart, the voice continued speaking.
"Immortal Witches can have only a single type of job. Actually having this job is an essential condition to evolve into the immortal witch race. So, you do not need to pull for the second round and you will automatically be assigned the job of "Supreme Sage"."
That was an even better news. Even if her race was very powerful Mori was sure that without a good job, she would not be able to utilise her racial advantages. So the fact that she got a powerful job alongside her race was an extremely good thing. It was hard for Mori to believe how insanely lucky she was with her first pull.
As Mori was getting happier and happier in her heart, the screen before her changed and a new pulling interface appeared before her. The voice again informed her that it was now time for her to choose her special ability. So Mori calmed her mind down once again and got ready to pull once more.
