Chapter 232 - Chapter 232: The Kirigakure

"Gulp..."

"They... they're all dead..."

"What kind of power is this? It's terrifying!"

The Kirigakure shinobi kneeling on the ground swallowed hard, their faces pale with fear.

The stench of blood hung thick in the air, making their hearts race uncontrollably. Rivers of viscous, crimson blood pooled on the ground, evoking a primal terror deep within them.

If they hadn't chosen to kneel immediately, they knew they'd have ended up like the Anbu corpses scattered around them—lifeless and discarded.

Compared to Uchiha Mirai's ruthlessness, their years of surviving the Blood Mist Village seemed laughable.

Even during the Third Great Ninja War, they hadn't encountered anything as horrifying as Mirai's current presence.

He hadn't unleashed god-like techniques such as Susanoo. He had simply clapped his hands together while standing motionless, seemingly at ease.

And then...

The Fourth Mizukage, a man of immense power, was dead. Hundreds of elite Anbu shinobi had also fallen.

It had all been so swift and effortless, leaving no room for resistance.

If someone as formidable as Yagura had been dealt with so easily, what chance did they, mere foot ninjas, stand? They were no better than ants in comparison.

The strength Uchiha Mirai displayed felt almost divine.

While the Kirigakure shinobi trembled at the sight of his power, Mirai stood silently, calculating the rewards flashing through his mind.

From the hundreds of Anbu he had just killed, he'd amassed nearly 800 attribute points. His physique, mental strength, and physical power had all surpassed 9,000.

Breaking past the 9,000 threshold had also unlocked a new ocular ability—Amenotejikara.

This extraordinary spatial power allowed him to swap the positions of any objects within his line of sight.

"A truly impressive ability. This is... exciting," Mirai murmured, a rare hint of enthusiasm in his voice as he probed Amenotejikara's potential.

The technique enabled him to instantaneously teleport himself or any object within his view by swapping their positions. In combat, it could yield unexpected, devastating results.

For instance, in the original series, Uchiha Sasuke had once used Amenotejikara to swap places with a blade, evading an attack from Uchiha Madara while simultaneously impaling Madara with the weapon.

For close-quarters combat, Amenotejikara had an edge over the Flying Thunder God Technique since it didn't require pre-placed markers for teleportation.

However, what truly made Mirai appreciate the ability was its secondary function—the power to relocate objects within his sight to any position he desired.

In practical terms, this was nothing short of a divine technique.

In the original series, even Six Paths Madara had been caught off guard when Sasuke used Amenotejikara to relocate him, leaving him vulnerable to Naruto's Rasenshuriken and Sasuke's Chidori.

With this ability, Mirai could simply stand still and launch an attack. All he had to do was relocate his opponent into the line of fire, guaranteeing a hit.

Perhaps this overwhelming utility was why Sasuke only used the technique sparingly in the original series. Its sheer power was almost too broken to employ freely.

For Mirai, though, this newly awakened ocular ability was a tremendous reward.

"Mirai, what are you thinking about?"

Terumi Mei's voice brought him back to reality. Glancing at the still-kneeling Kirigakure shinobi, Mirai said calmly,

"From now on, Kirigakure will be under my rule. Go take control of the village."

"Yes!"

The shinobi scattered immediately, using every ounce of their strength to perform the fastest Body Flicker Technique they could muster. Being in Mirai's presence felt suffocating, and the chance to leave was a relief.

"Mirai, let's go too," Mei suggested, her expression uneasy as she glanced at the blood-soaked battlefield. The sight of corpses hanging from thorny branches, their blood still dripping, made her stomach churn.

"Fine. We'll rest at the Mizukage Tower for the night—"

Before Mirai could finish his sentence, he turned sharply toward the shadow of a tree in a nearby alley.

"Amenotejikara."

With a surge of ocular power, a pale, humanoid figure appeared before him, its neck gripped tightly in his hand.

"White Zetsu..."

Holding the creature aloft, Mirai's grip tightened.

Crack!

White Zetsu's body went limp instantly.

[ Ding! Congratulations, Host! Reward acquired: +1 to Physique! ]

Killing White Zetsu yielded rewards too?

Hearing the system's notification, Mirai's eyes sparkled with intrigue. He couldn't help but laugh, his laughter growing louder and more unrestrained.

"Hahaha..."

"Hahahahaha!"

After his laughter subsided, Mirai turned his gaze toward a distant island, a dangerous smirk forming on his lips.

"White Zetsu... I'll find all of you."

Beneath the earth, the real Zetsu sped through the ground using Mayfly.

Normally cheerful and carefree, White Zetsu now wore an expression of panic and dread.

Even from the memories of its destroyed clone, it could feel the overwhelming terror of Mirai.

That man...

He was a lunatic!

The crazed smile on his face after killing the clone sent chills down Zetsu's spine.

What did Mirai mean by, "I'll find all of you"?

How much did he know?

"Damn it," Zetsu muttered in frustration. "I shouldn't have provoked him. His sensory abilities are far too sharp!"

For now, Zetsu resolved to stay far away from Mirai's detection range until it could uncover the secrets behind his abilities.

That man was far too dangerous.

As for Obito... Well, if possible, Zetsu would try to nudge him in the right direction.
