"Yugao, which team are you in now?"
Nibbling on a skewer of tri-colored dango, Mirai casually posed the question to Yugao.
Yugao clasped her hands behind her back, her face carrying a faint trace of guilt.
"I'm sorry, Mirai-senpai," she said softly.
"For specific reasons, I can't disclose that information."

Anko, munching on her own dango, silently grumbled to herself. Normally, her friend Yugao was sharp-witted, but in front of Mirai, she seemed to lose half her brainpower.
Mirai waved it off with a warm smile. "It's fine. If you ever have the time, come find me. I'll keep my word."
Yugao's eyes lit up with gratitude. She recalled the promise Mirai had made to teach her kenjutsu and realized his words weren't empty pleasantries. Bowing slightly, she responded with a cheerful nod.
"I will. Thank you in advance, Mirai-senpai."
"Well then... see you around."
"Hey, Yugao!"
"Huh?"
Yugao blinked, turning to Anko with a dazed expression. "Anko, what did you just say?"
"I said Mirai-senpai is long gone. Why are you still staring into space like that?"
A faint blush crept onto Yugao's face as she smiled bashfully.
"I didn't expect Mirai-senpai to be so approachable. He's nothing like what I imagined."
Anko rolled her eyes. "Approachable? If you saw how Mirai-senpai handles things, you'd change your tune real fast."
She leaned in conspiratorially. "He's ruthless on the battlefield, takes down enemies without a second thought, and doesn't even spare the Hokage's advisors in the village..."
Before Anko could finish, Yugao interrupted. "That only proves he's an exceptional shinobi."
A flicker of unease crossed Anko's face. "Yugao, don't tell me... you're starting to like Mirai-senpai?"
Yugao playfully swatted Anko's arm, her tone filled with mock annoyance.
"My goal right now is to improve my swordsmanship, nothing more."
Then, sighing softly, she added, "Besides, there's no way someone like Mirai-senpai would ever be interested in someone as plain as me."
Anko was left speechless. The normally stoic and reserved Yugao, who focused solely on her swordsmanship, had just said something so self-deprecating. She thought about how Moonlight
Hayate had been persistently pursuing Yugao, only to be turned down cold.
And now this?
This feels like a disaster waiting to happen.
With Mirai's reputation as a heartbreaker, how could he possibly turn down someone as stunning as Yugao?

The doors to the Konoha Police Force burst open as Uchiha Fugaku stormed in, leading a group of Uchiha clansmen.
Seated leisurely at his desk and enjoying some snacks, Mirai glanced up briefly before returning to his food. He didn't react further, assuming Fugaku wouldn't dare to stir up too much trouble.
Yet, Fugaku and his group marched straight up to Mirai.
"Fugaku, what's the meaning of this?"
Immediately, Inaho, Tetsuka, Hachida stepped in front of their leader.
Fugaku's voice was cold. "Move aside. I have business with Mirai."
Unfazed, Inaho replied firmly, "There's no need to bring so many people if it's just a conversation."
The audacity of the retort deepened the scowl on Fugaku's face.
"Are you all defying the orders of your clan head?"
Inaho snorted. "We are part of the Police Force. Only our Leader gives us orders."
"Good! Very good!" Fugaku's entire body trembled with anger. The authority of the Uchiha clan head was absolute, yet here stood subordinates openly defying him.
Just you wait, Mirai.
Once you're removed from this position, I'll make sure these fools regret their defiance.
"Stand down," came Mirai's calm voice from behind them. Inaho and the others reluctantly stepped aside.
Mirai fixed Fugaku with an impassive gaze. "Fugaku, barging into the Police Force uninvited... are you prepared to face the consequences?"
Fugaku sneered, pulling out a scroll.
"Mirai, your time is up."
"This is a direct order from the Hokage. Effective immediately, you're relieved of your duties as Leader of the Police Force."
The room erupted into chaos.
"What? They can't do that!"
"All because Leader arrested the Hokage's advisor's grandson? This is outrageous!"
"We demand an audience with the Hokage!"
"Enough!" Uchiha Yakumi barked, silencing the commotion. The tension in the air grew thick as Fugaku's men took a step forward, the threat clear.
Fugaku smirked, enjoying the spectacle. "Mirai, you were given a chance, but you didn't appreciate it. Now, it's over for you. Starting today, you're out of the Police Force."
Mirai calmly finished his last bite of dessert, rising to his feet. "Fugaku, it seems I've been far too lenient with you."
"What are you—"
Before Fugaku could react, Mirai struck. His hand shot forward, slamming into Fugaku's abdomen. A sealing jutsu instantly suppressed Fugaku's chakra.
Thud!
Fugaku crumpled to the floor, curled up like a shrimp.
"You dare—"
Swish!
Yakumi's head spun through the air, landing with a dull thud.
[ Ding! Congratulations, Host! You have successfully plundered: Mental Strength +1! ]
Mirai ignored the system prompt as he cast a cold glance at the remaining Uchiha.
"Anyone else have objections?"
Under his piercing gaze, no one dared meet his eyes.
Fugaku, still struggling to rise, glared at Mirai, his voice hoarse with rage.
"Mirai, how could you strike down your own clansmen?"
"Yakumi forced his way into the Police Force with intent to rebel," Mirai replied coldly. "He deserved it."
"You're the real traitor here!" Fugaku roared. "I told you—the Hokage has issued a decree to strip you of your rank!"
Mirai sneered, stepping closer. "Fugaku, have you grown so used to being a lapdog that you've forgotten the Police Force doesn't answer to the Hokage?"
