"Head up and take a bath for now, Sharon. I will take care of things for you in here."
Daniel promised as soon as he made up his mind.
Sharon looked at him with her vulnerable expression that hit too close to home, and Daniel flashed her a reassuring smile before patting her back and sending her ahead.
His smile remained calm for as long as Sharon was in the room, but it dropped down his face as soon as his lover was gone.
"Father, I need to talk to you about what happened. I-It was not Anabella's fault-"
"James, I don't want to hear anything right now. I am so mad that I feel like I might snap at even you because of this. So, before I do that, please leave."
Daniel warned his son, who suddenly looked uncomfortable and tried to look away. However, despite his best efforts to calm his heart down, James could not.
Especially since he knew his father was serious about punishing Anabella for something she did not even do.
