Chapter 13 - THE WEIRD COSPLAYER

"Do you guys need a hand!?"

Just as Ashiro and the others were about to settle into their fate of this is their end, they suddenly heard a voice right above the RV they are in. "Huh? Who is that?" Lady Naga muttered with a surprised look on her face as she looked upwards. Not only her, but the rest also did the same.

"Well, I will take your silence as a yes!"

And in the next moment, Ashiro and the others suddenly heard a pained growl from the Kaiju behind the RV which prompted them to look that way.

"What in the....."

"What exactly is she wearing!?"

As soon as they looked through the back window, they instantly regretted it due to whom or what they saw. Apparently, the person they saw was a woman who looked no older than Lady Naga, dressed in a bizarre, mismatched cosplay that looked like it had been stitched together from scraps of fantasy and sci-fi costumes. She wields dual katana blades, which glowed with an eerie, fiery aura, sizzling against the air.

"Take that you disgusting creatures!!"

Her blades began slicing through the tendrils with precision, burning and disintegrating them upon contact. The Kaijus that lunged at her met their end in a shower of gore, their limbs severed and torsos cleaved with ruthless efficiency. Blood sprayed across the ground and walls, staining the remnants of her already tattered costume.

As the fight intensified, her outfit was torn apart by the relentless assault, exposing more of her tan yet smooth skin. The fiery light from her bio-weapon clearly illuminated the precise details in her toned upper body, which anyone could discover that she has a very alluring H-cups, making her appear to be both otherworldly and vulnerable. Yet she fought on, her expression a mix of playfulness and ecstasy.

"I think am having a nose bleed guys" Back in the RV, Kyoto suddenly muttered with a trembling tone as he truly began to have a nosebleed while he intensely feasted his eyes on the tanned woman's chest area in which the remaining piece of cosplaying clothes on that area is desperately holding on to the tip of the Muay Thai that is on the tanned woman's chest so that won't be free to act as it pleased into the public.

As soon as Hanabi heard him, she immediately knocked hard at the top of his head while she exclaimed in annoyance. "Stop being a pervert!!"

"Huh!? Why am I the only one who shouldn't be a pervert!!? Can't you see the others too!!?" Kyoto exclaimed with a wronged look on his face while he pointed at the others.

"And who told you they–" Hanabi exclaimed back as she looked at the others. But as soon as she did, her words got stuck in her throat. Surprisingly, only Hanabi was the one who wasn't fully absorbed in the scene right in front of them as they all except Lady Naga had nosebleeds.

'So am actually in a team full of perverts' Hanabi thought with an expression that entails she wants to laugh and cry at the same time. But all these didn't bother Lady Naga as she narrowly starred at the tanned woman.

Grrr!!!

Back on the road, the last Kaiju growled violently as it lunged at her, but she caught it's head with one katana and drove the other through its chest. The creature's body convulsed violently before exploding into a shower of blood and viscera. Breathing heavily, she stood amidst the carnage, her body drenched in a mixture of Kaiju blood and sweat.

Suddenly, she turned to the RV as she smirked, brushing away a strand of her disheveled hair. "Well, aren't you all lucky I decided to stop by." Her voice was teasing, but her eyes carried an intensity that made it clear she isn't someone to underestimate with it's limpid yellow pupils.

Lady Naga suddenly stepped out of the RV cautiously, wielding the pistol bio weapon which belonged to Kyoto. "Who the hell are you?"

The woman grinned, leaning on one of her glowing katanas. "Just a random cosplayer in the apocalypse who hates these ugly bastards as much as you do"

"That doesn't answer my question"

tension hung thickly as Lady Naga replied while she continued to scrutinize the new arrival. The weird cosplayer's clothes were still torn from the earlier battle, and despite her casual demeanor, her presence radiated an unspoken danger. Lady Naga wasn't one to trust easily—especially not someone who had appeared out of nowhere in a city crawling with Kaijus.

Standing beside the driver's seat, Lady Naga finally addressed her, her tone cool and guarded. "You just happen to be wandering around in Kaiju territory with bio-weapons?"

The tanned woman tilted her head, a playful smile tugging at her lips. "Let's just say, I've got my reasons. Kaijus and I have a... personal vendetta." She glanced out the window, her expression sharpening. "Speaking of which, I hear more of them. They're closing in."

Hanabi and Kyoto, seated nearby, exchanged looks and nudged Lady Naga from out the window. "Come on," Hanabi urged, her tone laced with impatience. "She helped us out back there, didn't she? And we need all the extra firepower we can get if we're gonna make it to Yokohama."

Kyoto nodded. "If she wanted to hurt us, she wouldn't have bothered saving our lives. Besides, if Kaijus are on the way, we don't have time to argue."

Lady Naga clenched her jaw, eyes narrowing as she weighed her options. Finally, she gave a reluctant nod. "Fine," she said, fixing the tanned woman with a piercing gaze. "But you're under my watch until we get to Yokohama. Step out of line, and it won't end well for you."

The tanned woman gave a mock salute, her grin wide. "Yes, ma'am. Name's Ino, by the way. Glad to be onboard." Without further prompting, she climbed into the RV, sliding into a seat near the back.

As Lady Naga also got into the RV and hit the accelerator, the RV sped off, just as faint, guttural roars began to echo from somewhere behind them. The Kaijus were close—but, for now, they had a head start.

In the rearview mirror, Lady Naga kept an eye on Ino, who seemed more interested in cleaning her bio-weapon katanas than in the group itself. But as they wound through the deserted streets, everyone in the RV felt the heavy pressure of the Kaijus pursuing them, a grim reminder that they'd have to keep moving if they wanted to see Yokohama alive.
