The kiss lasts for a while until Sage feels that Mint is already out of breath, he then proceeds to move a little. Staring at Mint with his dark eyes, he then touches Mints chin as he slowly traces her lips using his thumb while his left arms are still tightly holding Mints waist into his body.
When he sees that Mint has already caught her breath, he then kisses her again, deeply, after Mint opens her mouth, he immediately explores the side of Mint's mouth. Savoring the sweet taste of Mint. The taste of alcohol within her mouth only makes it more sensual. He wanted more.
Using all his might and restraint that was honed for many years, he pulled away from Mint. Then, after giving her one last smack to the lips, he let her go.
He leaned into the wall while his gaze was still staring at the distant Mint. Making sure that Mint will surely go back into the lounge. When he couldn't see the silhouette of Mint, he closed his eyes while he leaned into the wall more. He proceeds to calm himself-down.
'This is not the right time yet. Soon.'
After a while of standing there Sage is sure that he already collects himself. He went back into the lounge.
Throughout the night, after their scene, he notices that Mint is avoiding him. Until they are about to go home. Mint is still distancing herself to everyone, especially him, though he still moves as if nothing happened between them and acts as if he's really not close to Mint usual. He feels that Mint is drifting further away from them.
He didn't like it. But he didn't do anything just yet. They first watched over and made sure of all of the women until they got into a taxi, then they each went their separate ways.
'Soon you will be mine.' Sage declared while riding his bike going home while his eyes were filled with darkness.
Sage knows. Mint caught his attention since he saw her on her first day. When he learned what her name was and what department she was in, he felt excited. Every time that he will have the chance to see her, his gaze will never leave her until he can't see her anymore. Deep inside he was too eager every time they would have any interaction even if it's only for a while when there's a little happening in Mint's department's lab or if there's any program.
No one knew how he felt for Mint. As no one will believe that he will be attracted to someone like Mint. Mint is not the most beautiful that he has ever met. She's even a little bit chubby. But, for him, the beauty of Mint leaves the biggest impression on him that makes her heart moved. He also appreciates that Mint is a little chubby and how cute she is.
Mint is also a little loner and is not a very sociable person. Though I know she's kind as I saw every time, we have interaction, and are a little bit generous. She is the kind of a woman who is so quiet and always likes to be alone. But this doesn't matter. She's very fit for Sage. Mint is just right for Sage because he is the only one who will see how special Mint is. He is only entitled to appreciate her alone. At least, he won't have any rivals and he won't need to hide Mint from the world anymore.
He admits. His love is so toxic. He has the strong territory in owning only the one he will be interested in and will love. His obsession and possessiveness will surely be on that person. Now, it's being directed to Mint.
Actually, during lunch time, If Sage could find the time to join the group, his attention always went to Mint. He always likes to observe her secretly even if he still mingles with the others. He even gets jealous when he sees Mint and Dill talking to each other alone. He finds the time to 'unintentionally' question the others on what the two's relationship are when he learns that the others start to gossip if Mint and Dill have the relationship as they were very close. But it turns out that the two are just purely best friends and come from the same department when they were still in college according to Laurel.
Even though his jealousy has lessened a bit, he really can't help but feel envious when he sees the two of them happily talking. He also noticed that Mint is open with Dill. It seems that Mint has a lot of trust in Dill. He doesn't like that. Even though he doesn't want to, he forces himself to calm down because he doesn't want to rush Mint.
Two days after their night encounter. . . Clove elbowed Sage signaling that Mint together with Laurel and Jasmin were now heading to the Lab.
Sage and his other colleagues from the Security Office are now in Mint's Department lab because their boss, their beloved Vice President, is treating them to lunch again that will be prepared by their colleagues in the lab.
Sage stared at Mint briefly.
'She's more alluring today. This is not good.' Sage thinks that made him in a bad mood.
"Jasmin is beautiful, right?" Clove asked Sage.
Sage didn't say a word, he just looked at the three. When Clove got no answer, he slapped the back of the head of Sage.
"Hey, I'm talking to you. Stop staring at them. I knew it, you fell for Jasmin too." Clove teased Sage.
Clove's voice seems to be loud, that's why the three of them who are near the entrance of the lab looked over at their place. Sage even saw Mint slightly frown. It seems she might have heard what Clove said.
"Idiot. Look at what you're saying. You're so embarrassing here." Sage said to Clove as he clamped his arm into the shoulder of Clove there with a little bit of strength causing Clove to complain that it hurt his shoulder.
Sage didn't pay attention to Clove's complaints because all he could think about was Mint's reaction earlier. Looks like jealousy is agreeing with Mint. He likes it.
"Mint, come here, I want to show you something." They heard Dill call Mint with a loud voice, getting Sage attention and the others.
Curiosity really kills the cat so when they proceed to check what will happen, they see that Mint went immediately beside Dill and sat right beside him. Then she leans into Dill, her body almost touching the side of Dill. Dill brought his cellphone closer to Mint while he had a wide smile, looking at Mint who was slightly bowing.
When others see them, they're just publicly showing their affections there as it was not a big deal when their bodies touch each other especially even if they are of the opposite sex.
Sage unexpectedly crushed the plastic cup that he was currently holding while he stared at the two with a heated gaze. Shit!! What is this!!
Clove looked at him with a puzzled expression, "Hey, are you okay? What happened?"
"No. Nothing. Maybe it was just a slip." Sage said as he stepped aside so as not to disturb others who were already going to get food while still watching Mint and Dill.
He is jealous.
He was starting to get livid now.
Mint is his.
"Is that true?" Mint asks Dill and she looks at him eagerly.
"Hmm." Dill nodded happily.
"Then that's good. Good thing sir found a new place to work. He didn't deserve the way he was treated here." Mint whispered which only Dill can only hear it
"That's right. Anyway, it turns out I didn't pass the Civil Service Examination." Dill suddenly lamented after he nodded at what Mint said.
"That's right. What did you do? Even Myrtle and Rue. They also didn't pass." Mint also exclaimed.
"Esh. It's so annoying." Dill said with a frown.
"Alele. Let it go. You'll pass that too. Promise, just stay positive. Next time you'll absolutely pass it. Maybe it's just not your time yet. Look at me. I actually took the exam without any review. Hahaha."
"Cut the crap!! You're different, and so are we. Among our group of friends, you seem to be the smartest."
"What? Am I? No, Fennel and Saffron are there. Even Rue."
"Huh. Don't be like that. You're just quiet but not a liar. Stop that."
Mint was about to retort, but their companions there stopped them and told them to get their food now before they ran out of it, which they complied.
They get their food and find their seat. Even until eating, they are still arguing. They no longer paid attention to their companions, who were laughing at them.
"Remember Clove? I saw that he passed the CSE." Mint suddenly told Dill.
"Ai. Good for him." Dill's answer was lackluster.
"Yeah, right. He said he had a fifty-fifty chance during the exam, but he passed anyway." Mint shrugged.
"Oh, anyway. How'd you know that? You have communication, right?" Dill asks while he raises his right brow. Teasing Mint while smirking
"Yes. I just chatted with him for a moment."
"Ayiie, that might be different now, Mint."
Mint made a face at Dill, "Hey, stop that."
"No, Basil is handsome anyway. You two are a good match. You were quite close back then because you always sat next to each other."
"Who's Basil?" Laurel interjected, having overheard the conversation between Mint and Dill.
Mint and Dill look at Laurel.
"Oh, you're here." Dill exclaimed.
"Nothing" Mint.
"Our classmate way back when we were in college. He's also a little bit close to Mint here. Hahaha." Dill kept saying one after another. This guy talks too much.
"Ow. Ehem!!" Laurel teases Mint while looking at her.
"What? There's nothing going on." Mint exclaimed because she's so shy and so embarrassed right now as the other people are now looking at her. They were all anticipating Mint's answer. These people are such gossips. This is Dill's fault.
'One more thing. We really don't have anything between us anymore. My eyes we're only on Sage. Only him.' Mint thought while unintentionally searching with her eyes for where Sage was. When he found him and looked at him, she saw that Sage was actually looking at him. His burning gaze was directed into her. Reason for Mint to immediately look away.
What happened to Sage. Did I do something to irritate him? She was already so jealous earlier when she heard what Clove said, and now, it seems like she made Sage angry unknowingly.
About what happened to them. Mint didn't know what to do and how to deal with Sage. But, she should just treat this as a bonus and go back to the way things were. She's sure that it probably doesn't mean anything to Sage. Maybe it's just the alcohol that works. Even if it's against her will. That's all she will do.
Mint didn't pay any more attention to Sage and just kept talking to Dill. She still feels intense jealousy. So she didn't see Sage's intense gaze at her.
Days passed. Still the same. Mint forced herself to go back to the way things were. Her normal interaction with others, especially in Sage. Even though she hasn't forgotten what happened because it was so special to her, there's nothing she can do to change the course of events. She doesn't even know where she belongs anymore. It's unreasonable to insist that Sage should take responsibility for her just because of that. So, she just chose to remain silent. That acted as if nothing happened.
This proceeds until it reaches two months and a half. Until one Friday night, Mint stayed out late and needed to do Over Time, so she got home around 6 pm. It's already dark outside actually and she is in a hurry to leave because she is a bit nervous now. She's alone, that's why it's so creepy.
When she had already gone down to the first floor, someone suddenly covered her mouth, and there, she inhaled the chloroform that immediately made her unconscious. So, she didn't see who did that to her. He didn't even see the devilish smile of his beloved Sage.
After 2 hours of sleeping, Mint wakes up in bed. The dosage of the chloroform that she inhaled is not that strong so she wakes up immediately. She only has a headache and a little bit of lack of strength. After waking up, she was bewildered because she found out that her right hand was tied on the side bed.
'Huh. Did I get kidnapped?' Mint asks out of nowhere.
She didn't panic, having the knowledge of possibly getting kidnapped. She was actually curious on who will have the guts to be kidnapped since it's within Aethercliff Academy, by the way.
When Mint heard the door open, her gaze went immediately to the way of the door and waited on who would enter there. She was stupefied when she saw Sage with his animalistic look that he has now.
This is the very first time that she saw Sage like this. It. . . . . waken something inside of her.
"Sage?" Mint questioned.
"What's the meaning of this?" She continued while she moved to shake her hand from the chain that is holding her hand on the side of the bed board slat.
Sage didn't answer as he proceeded to climb into the bed and moved until he settled on top of Mint. Then using his right hand, he trailed Mint's face. He then brought his face closer until it touched the side of Mint's face.
"What do you think this is?" He whisperingly asks using his husky voice.
This husky voice is making Mint excited. This really stimulates Mint's inner side.
"I. . . . . this is not a funny Sage." Mint whispered too.
"Hahaha."
Mint heard Sage a little bit.
"Do you think I will kid around? Think again!!" Sage dangerously said to Mint as he grips Mint's chin to let her face him directly and smash his lips into her lips.
"Sa---hmmm"
Before Mint could say anything, she felt Sage plunged his tongue into her mouth and proceeded to explore her mouth ultimately depleting her breath. Sage keeps kissing her until she feels that Sage hands are starting to explore her body.
Mint tried to hold Sage's hand, which had started to wander around her body, in order to somehow stop him. Mint knows that she likes what is happening, but she thought that she didn't know Sage's intentions towards her and she wasn't sure if he felt the same way about her.
"Sage. . . . Sage. . . stop this." Mint pleaded to Sage using her small voice. Not teary as she admits that she's not close to tears, on the contrary, she was even excited but she was still hiding it because she didn't want Sage to see it.
Sage stops for a moment while breathing hard. Then held Mints face, occasionally touching Mint's lips using his thumb.
"Don't be scared. I will take responsibility for all that will happen." He said then he kissed Mint again forcefully. Then he proceeds to hold Mint and slowly strip her out of her clothes. Not minding all of Mint's protest. Sage takes Mint and makes love with her throughout the night. Having the satisfaction of making Mint ONLY HIS!!!
