The atmosphere in the room was heavy with tension as Adam observed Phantom.
Her failure to release Christina weighed on him, but he knew dwelling on it wouldn't help.
Taking a deep breath, he shifted his focus back to Samuel, who had finally opened his eyes. The defiance in Samuel's gaze hadn't diminished, even after everything.
Samuel leaned back in his chair, his voice cold and laced with mockery. "What now, Adam? What are you planning to do with me? Let me save you the trouble—you can't kill me."
Samuel knows that Adam is very helpless because one of his creations is with Samuel and because of this adam cannot kill him, Adam also knows this and that is why he is not saying much.
Adam raised an eyebrow, momentarily surprised by Samuel's arrogance. But instead of engaging with the taunt, Adam smiled faintly.
