Chapter 6 - CHAPTER 5 - One of the Main Heroines?

Alex had always maintained this cute side that made people smile just by looking at him, and everyone liked talking to him.

But there were some selected few people who knew just how perfect his body was—his mother and James.

Alex, who had been training every single sword art or battle art since the age of 5, had a ripped body—something that would cause any girl to droll at the sight of it.

He was said to be cute many times, but that was just because he was still just entering adulthood, and although his features were sharp, there was a hint of sweetness there as well.

But that was only if one saw his face...

His height was in no way low, as he was 182 centimeters, that too at the age of 16—something people eat supplements to have.

His body was shredded, much more than those people who work their lives out to get a perfect cut.

If a woman were to look at him with just a towel covering his lower body, it would probably be like a man seeing a 10/10 type of woman wearing a hot bikini.

Especially with Alex's shoulder-length hair dripping water droplets tied in Eren Yeager's hairstyle.

What would their reaction be?

Well...

*Clatter—Shatter*

The sound of glass shattering upon getting into contact with the ground was heard, making Alex turn to look at the one who did it.

'Oh?'

He raised a brow inwardly as he saw who it was.

*Step**Step*...

With light steps, Alex walked toward the one responsible for the noise before he stood just a meter away from them.

"You must be Mira, right?"

His electric blue eyes stared into her frozen, wide crystal blue eyes as he questioned her with a light smile.

The girl, who looked no older than him, with her eyes fixed on his body, gulped.

*Nod*

She nodded her head dumbfoundedly.

Alex nodded his head as well, still staring into her eyes, causing the girl to start getting a bit fidgety, nervousness gnawing down at her, which was quite rare for her, who never felt anything.

He scanned her body without making it obvious.

A very beautiful young girl, but with some childish facial features given by her young age, which give her a doll-like appearance along with her almost impassive demeanor.

She has a slim build of medium height and fair skin; her face is a little narrow and elongated, with large blue eyes and thick dark lashes.

Her hair was long enough to reach her hips, but she kept them in a low ponytail tied with a black ribbon.

The color of her hair, while still considered blonde, unlike Sophie's bright shade, was dull, almost cream-colored.

Her eyes were quivering at the sight of Alex, yet her expression remained the same—indifferent.

He knew who she was, as he already had every piece of information he could have about the novel he had reincarnated into.

She was supposed to be one of the main heroines of the novel—I Shall Dominate My Favorite Novel.

She has a huge backstory and an item—something broken enough that even the protagonist was never able to overpower her in a fight—hidden within her.

As for why she was here...

"My mom, or your master, lives in the room next to this."

Alex pointed at the wall to the right.

Yes, she was his mother's student—the only student his mother ever had in the series.

*Nod*

The moment his mother was mentioned, the girl's gaze turned neutral, and her body straightened as she nodded and bowed her head.

"No need to thank me; just take some new, fresh fruits for my mom."

Alex, however, just waved his hand and pointed at the glass plate shattered on the ground and the fruit scattered around the floor.

Mira was probably taking this fruit to his mother but entered his room by mistake.

Mira, who saw Alex easily understanding everything without even her saying anything, stared into his eyes for a while, her expression still blank.

It was the first time someone other than her master had treated her like this—without showing annoyance, frustration, or anger at her inability to speak.

Alex also stared back into her eyes, a calm smile gracing his lips, but just then.

"Young master! Cover your body!!"

A shout was heard as James, who had gone out to iron Alex's dress, came rushing in with his eyes wide open.

He hurriedly picked up a towel and covered Alex's body before his eyes turned toward Mira.

"Get out!"

He growled with a glare.

Mira, however, just glanced at the guy for a second before she turned back toward Alex and bowed her head again.

"You—!"

James gritted his teeth, but before he could do anything else, such as kick Mira out of the room or something like that, Alex held the guy by his shoulder and nodded at Mira.

"As I have said, there is no need for thanks; just be sure not to confuse my chamber with hers again."

Alex smiled at her, and the girl raised her head, nodding again, a light of resolution flashing past her eyes before she turned around and left the room.

It was after she was out of the room that Alex turned toward his shadow, who was trembling in anger as he glared at the door that was shut by Mira.

"For your information, she was my mother's one and only disciple."

Alex patted the guy's shoulder, taking his formal attire off his arms and draping them over his body.

James, on the other hand, froze in his spot; his head, as if someone had poured cold water over it, cooled down in an instant.

He knew very well about the hierarchy system.

He knew that although his position was higher than normal butlers and maids, he wasn't someone who could speak against the student of an imperial descendant.

"I-I didn't know that—"

His eyes quivered as he realized the implication of his earlier action.

He was just a child who was about to turn into an adult, and he was just like anyone else in the world—someone who easily believed in rumors—so he feared the worst as he thought of his actions, but his words were cut short by Alex.

"You aware that my mother can see and hear everything, right?"

Alex's words echoed throughout James's head, and his eyes widened, his body tensed with cold sweat pouring out of his forehead. Alex's next words, however, calmed the guy down.

"If she had deemed your actions a crime worthy of death, you would already be dead, and the same goes for Mira."

Alex shrugged while butting his shirt up, only to smile the next second as he saw James's body relaxing visibly.

James, who heard Alex's words, didn't know how this guy could speak of death so easily.

'Does he not care about mine, his shadow's life, at all?'

Alex's indifference to the whole situation caused the guy to sigh, but it was pretty normal since Alex had always been like that.

But the next second...

"Why are you standing there, lost in thought? Come and help me with my coat and shoes."

Alex grumbled as he saw the guy still lost in his thoughts, causing James to quickly turn around and help Alex with everything.

Alex was in a hurry to meet up with his mother and talk to her about certain things, as it was a very important day for him.

It was the day of his awakening—the day that he waited a whole 16 years for.

It was his birthday as well, but he wasn't much interested in that.

So, after getting dressed as quickly as he could, he rushed to his mother's chamber, which was just next to his, knocking on the door.

*Knock**Knock*
